Sadly, I do believe you are serious about that post and I'm sure that I and others on this thread will be alarmed that anyone could think like this, but not surprised given the content of your other posts.

And what law has he broken from obtaining this loan that he will pay back as a private citizen?

The law of common sense and decency!

But is the leading candidate for the GOP, to become president and should he become so, the debt could well mean that a foreign power has him "by the short and curlies" as the saying goes. Not a good position to be in.

I can never take your specialty away from you.

You have rightfully earned it.

I am certainly not trolling. Just recalling you are posting the same unproven allegations about Biden over and over, without providing any evidence.

Fine. But as of today he is a private citizen not President. And the same Andrew Weissman who came down on Ms Aileen Cannon's latest ruling, has said As I post 2 pages back:

“There are potential sanctions prohibitions and campaign finance prohibitions. And of course potential tax issues,” MSNBC analyst Andrew Weissmann told me via email Thursday. “But apart from those, a third party can give a gift or loan to post the federal or state...

Those laws sound PC but not admissible.

$83 million for an "accusation" of sexual abuse and defamation! C'mon man, that abuse by the legal system.

Don't forget that in the first case that came to court, the damages were only $5 million.

It only went up to $83 million after the second one because Trump was stupid enough to keep on defaming Carroll after having already been found liable once. This meant her lawyers were able to add additional counts of defamation to the second case that was still ongoing, and gave the jurors the impetus needed to ratchet up the damages to that higher level.

If Trump had just had enough sense to avoid repeating the same things he was already on the hook for, he wouldn't have ended up with such a hefty judgement against him.

As the article below points out, in terms of why the jury decided to make the punitive damages so high:

Quote

"What the jury is saying is this is a wealthy man who's not stopping, and the only way to stop him is to hurt him [financially]."

Defamation defeat a double-edged sword for Trump

Ask the banks that loaned him the money that the left is taking him to court for false appraisals.

Banks happy.  Paid in full.

You think too much.  It’s just a loan.  Completely legal.

Ask the students the same question.  They will sell their souls to the devil (Biden) in exchange for loan forgiveness.

Very good.

But you are silent on the claim by Trump and his supporters’ claims that when Trump committed Fraud no laws were broken and/or the loans were repaid so no laws were broken.

Forgive me if to my thinking your claims of impartiality sound hollow.

More hogwash.

The Republicans have wasted millions trying to find evidence against Biden, they’ve come up with a big fat juicy nothing better.

The attorney general's office argued that the law at issue does not require the existence of victims to be enforceable. They also disputed the notion that there were no victims, saying Trump's bankers were harmed because they could have charged higher interest on loans if they knew his true net worth was lower than he claimed.

Trump's claim that there were no obvious victims, while not helpful for him when presented to Justice Arthur Engoron during the trial, could be a matter of concern for appellate judges.

All that happened in a private voting booth, and is private for a reason.

There is a further argument that lenders took higher risks than they were able to assess on the basis of the information provided by Trump in his fraudulent applications.

Think of it as discharging a firearm into a crowded street.

The fact nobody was injured or killed does not negate the illegality of the act.

So I am MAGA double agent, huh? As the old New York saying goes (and Judge Engoron is a native New Yorker): Your opinion and a subway token gets you a ride.
