New Visa Exemption Rules?

The Thai Embassies have published exemption rules limiting visitors to two per year. It used to be two by land borders and unspecified by air. Have they changed the rules? People are being refused by airlines.

This will be interesting for border bouncers. Maybe next they will start limiting O visas to two per year or cracking down on "Agents".

UK ordinary passport holders can travel to Thailand without visa for no longer than 30 days (maximum 2 times/year).

You are right, the airlines get their information from IATA (International Air Transportation Association), who state they have a comprehensive database used by virtually every airline, and information gathered from over 1,000 official sources worldwide.

Yeah, embassy websites are often out of date or simply wrong.

 

According to Washington DC - https://washingtondc.thaiembassy.org/en/page/visa-exemption US citizens only get 15 days visa exemption by land ...

Not an embassy facebook page, just a link that was copied from facebook. Those are the real embassy websites.

They are Thai Embassy webpages. You know, the guys that issue the visas. It does not get much more official.

And they have wrong info on them just like mentioned in the other thread 3 days ago. I remember this being brought up over a year ago as well and the embassies have still not corrected the errors
