Schoolchildren are converting to Islam 'out of fear' in German schools: Study warns

A new study highlights a concerning trend of Christian students feeling like outsiders and some converting to Islam in a bid to fit in. The study, conducted by the Criminal Research Institute of Lower Saxony, sheds light on the challenges posed by cultural integration and the influence of Islamic values among students.

 

According to the study, a staggering 67.8% of surveyed students believe that the Koran holds more significance than German laws. Additionally, nearly half of the students (45.6%) view Islamic theocracy as the ideal form of governance. These findings underscore a growing acceptance of Islamic principles among students, with many attributing their views to the influx of Muslim immigrants and the prevalence of strictly religious families from countries like Syria, Afghanistan, and Iraq.

 

The study also reveals troubling attitudes towards violence and non-Muslims among some Muslim students. Shockingly, more than a third (35.3%) expressed understanding towards violence against those who insult Allah or Prophet Mohammed. Furthermore, a significant percentage (21.2%) believe that the perceived threat to Islam justifies violent retaliation from Muslims.

 

The emergence of what the study describes as "parallel societies" within schools, where Muslim students assume dominant roles, adds another layer of complexity to the situation. Male Muslim students, in particular, are described as sometimes resorting to intimidation and violence to enforce adherence to Islamic rules, especially among their female peers.

 

Politicians and experts have expressed alarm at the study's findings, emphasizing the need for robust political education and democracy-building initiatives in schools. There are calls for greater scrutiny of Islamist propaganda on social media platforms like TikTok, which is seen as playing a role in shaping the views of impressionable students. The study has prompted calls for urgent action to address the spread of Islamist ideologies in schools and to reinforce democratic values and principles.

 

In response to the study, politicians and education officials have underscored the importance of promoting democracy education and countering extremist narratives in schools. There is consensus that a proactive approach is needed to address the underlying factors driving the acceptance of radical ideologies among some students. Ultimately, there is a collective determination to uphold German values and ensure that all students feel included and respected in the school environment.

The study reported "67.8% of Muslim students surveyed believe the Koran trumps German law, while nearly half advocate for Islamic Theocracy." I am skeptical of news items that refer to "studies" without providing links to the specific study.... This is a link to the "Criminal Research Institute of Lower Saxony" but I don't see any studies remotely similar to what is cited here... maybe someone is willing to dig deeper?

There have been many warnings before. 

However, those were stamped as "Islamophobic".

And the former President was stating, that Islam belongs to Germany.

Sam Harris described it well. He said that there are only a small percentage of Muslims who are actually hard core terrorists. But..there is a larger group that supports them actively, even if they don't actually take direct action. And an even larger group beyond that who would not support the terrorists, but approve of what they are trying to achieve. Western countries are finding this out and it isn'T going to end well.

The Daily Mail (which is the source of the OP) added an extra level of distortion and confusion, as it tends to presents statements by an anonymous "Staatschutzer" in a way they can be confused with findings of the study. the Daily Mail also doesn't highlights that it was a survey among Muslim students.

Gosh, the Daily Mail has even less professional ethics that the Bildzeitung. 😆

Oh and It's also written in the BZ that the sample is not representative.

My father along with 1000s of 1000s of post WW2 immigrants come to Australia they worked hard and literally built the country, these people are doing nothing just wanting hand outs and getting there extended family's over to multiply to spread there faith.

 

I have heard stories them saying not to have Xmas, Easter celebrations at schools, how dare they say that get rid of the lot of them send them back to there home country's

I wonder what native Australians and native Americans said when white man turned up on their shores. Bloody immigrants. All they want is everything they can make money out of. Send 'em back, I say. And let them take their revolting diseases with them!

In the BZ original article, the title is that a member of security forces sayd that, not that the study stated it.

Very rare that the claims you mention are proven as fact; mostly unsupported far right BS. However, the 300 plus children in the survey by Criminal Research Institute of Lower Saxony, if proven,  demonstrates the failure of the German authorities to provide integration and educational services for the children and their parents who come from very dysfunctional societies of war torn Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq and so on. In addition weak, slow and piecemeal enaction of legislation by Western governments to crack down on Social Media platforms distributing extremist propaganda of all kinds should be rectified as a matter of urgency.
