Popular Post webfact
In a sudden tragic incident, Roy Mitchell, a 69-year-old man from Liverpool and Army veteran, met an untimely end during his holiday in Thailand. He was participating in the Songkran festival in Pattaya when the unfortunate event occurred. Rooted from Belfast, Mitchell was a known personality in Liverpool's Chinatown, L1, where he had created a second home. Annually visiting Thailand, Mitchell had developed a strong bond with the country after attending a friend’s wedding there a decade ago. Friend Paul Walsh, aged 49, shared Mitchell being fond of Thai culture. Mitchell’s death has shaken up his dear ones, causing an outpour of grief and tributes from friends, family, and frequented places like the Soul Train bar, where he was a regular. A Gofundme page is now active to take care of Mitchell's funeral costs and arrange his return to the UK, according to the Liverpool Echo. Additionally, donations are being made to the charity KIND, which dedicated to helping disadvantaged children and families across Merseyside and close to Mitchell’s heart. In an unrelated incident, another British citizen lost her life in a traffic accident in Kamala, Phuket. The 65-year-old woman was killed on the spot when a white passenger van ran a red light at the main intersection and hit her on May 5. Popular Post G_Money
Some people always manage to have funds for a “holiday” yet never have savings for life emergencies and urgent needs. If they did, one would not need a “go fund me” (because I can’t be bothered to fund myself) account. Just a general statement. 4 4 3 1

Popular Post Smokin Joe
He may have a huge bank account back in the UK but no one would be able to access it until his will goes though probate. The Go Fund Me does seem tacky though if he has all the friends and family the article implies. 5 2 1
Popular Post CHdiver
Will there now be every death of a tourist be reported in future? Or just the gofundme <deleted>. I guess that should be put in a new category. Even better, stop this nonsense. Nobody wants to read such nonevents for the majority of users. Thank you. 1 4 2

He could also have served in Oman during October 1969 until September 1976. At least he served his queen and country, so it doesn't matter where or when he served, but at least he served. 1 6 2

Facts speak for themselves, the relatives are begging from people they know nothing about. Of course in your socialist utopia GFM would not be necessary, all would get a funeral paid for by the state 😄 3

Popular Post wensiensheng
Participating in Songkran festivities and it’s only being reported NOW? On the ball these journalists are not. And they see fit to include in the articlewhat they themselves term an “unrelated” incident that happened just yesterday. its gobbledygook 1 1

Popular Post impulse
30 minutes ago, hotchilli said: All with empty pockets it seems. Where does that disrespect come from? They give friends and family an opportunity to show they cared by donating some money to the guy's funeral. How is that different from spending money for flowers (other than being a lot more practical than flowers that last a day or 2)? Or bringing a covered dish to the family home to take the burden of cooking off the grieving family... 3
kwilco
It seems this article's primary purpose is to publicise the GFM . I don't see how this death warrants do much column space and the tragic death in a road accident of the woman is reduced to a foot note....yet the latter clearly raises more issues. 1 1
