I think that perhaps this is about the COVID mandate. Forcing kids to get a COVID vaccine. Not your normal vaccines that have been given and required for the last 80 or more years. 

I think the news service has twisted what he said once again to suit their agenda. 

As for requiring the COVID vaccine. That was just plain wrong to force kids to get it or not be allowed into schools. Noone knows yet what affect the vaccines will have on growing kids. Their bodies are constantly changing and that vaccine is relatively untested for these kids. It may damage the population in the future.

It may damage the population in the future although despite hundreds of millions of vaccines being given to a very diverse set of populations there haven't been any evidence of such occurrence.

 

What IS known is that there were, in the USA, over one million excess deaths during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is not under dispute and the evidence is overwhelming. And it's likely grossly under-estimated as well.

What is also understood is that the poor leadership of President Trump with the disinformation, promotion of quackery and refusal to fund the mitigation efforts when needed, that there were likely 40% of those deaths that DIDN'T NEED TO OCCUR! That individual directly contributed to the deaths of approximately 500,000 Americans or more. That the same group of people who have no issues screaming in women's faces that "abortion is murder" also slavishly worship the man who directly caused the deaths of so many of their compatriots, but specifically among those, their fellow travelers, is something that future generations will look upon with astonishment. SAD!

I believe that to protect the herd, you put the cattle in squeeze cages and drench them or inject them with the vaccines needed to protect both them and the other cattle from the known dangerous diseases that are killing them.

 

I'm okay with that for other outbreaks when the herd members are already showing signs of mental deterioration similar to "Mad Cow" disease that prevents them from understanding the importance. It's the same reason you were vaccinated when you were young.

 

I also note that there is a Venn diagram that shows people who don't believe the COVID-19 vaccines were needed or efficacious and the people who have zero problems with taking complete body autonomy from women when it comes to their pregnancies. That Venn diagram is a circle.

I never agree with Trump, but I think Covid was a huge overreaction that largely affected the obese, elderly and sick. forcing the entire population to vax is a mistake. the US lost 1/3 of 1% of the weak and frail, that's natural, survival of the fittest. if you want to live than try putting some effort into health and longevity instead of making everyone vax. I'm for polio and measles vax but covid doesn't belong in those ranks.

There is a choice. Take the vaccine or stay out of the public schools so as not to increase the chance of the spread of contagious disease. I am an old American who was given all the childhood vaccines required to enter the public schools which have documented results of reducing illness. But it is your choice ...

It's not about the covid mandate

It's about measles vaccine. Measles can be deadly.

Those who say it should be a choice simply don't understand the dynamics of vaccination: it is not done just for your benefit, but the communities. A certain percentage of population needs to have vaccination to contain the spread. Those who try to opt out just on belief (unlike those who can't due to medical issues) are freeloading parasites. If they wanted to go live 100 miles from anyone else, I'd be okay with that. But if you live in communities, sometimes the community is more important than your beliefs, however wrong headed

Children lost two years of schooling, perfectly fit people were forced to stay at home. In one instance two elderly ladies were arrested for sitting next to each other on a bench in the open air in a park. That was the kind of regime we were living under. Not remotely a Trump fan but I think there is something worth listening to in what he says on this subject.

1. No one ever forced "the entire population to vax" related to COVID in the U.S., nor is anyone proposing to for the future.

 

and 2. Trump here -- at least based on his actual words spoken -- isn't just talking about school vaccine mandates relating to COVID. He's talking about wanting to ban federal funding for any school that requires ANY vaccine, including those for things like polio and measles that have long been a standard requirement for attending public schools.

I am confused alot by you logic. IF an unvaccinated kid sits next to a vaccinated kid. Does this mean the vaccinated kid will get so sick and die or worse? If so, then what is the point of being vaccinated for anything. My kids had the measles vaccines but still caught measles in the school classroom. Even the COVID vaccine does not prevent you from getting COVID. So why should you force another child to do and believe what you want when there is nothing for prevention in that vaccine.  Whow has the right to tell me what i should or should not inject into my kid.. If you choose it for your kid and believe they are protected in some way. Then the kid next to them in class getting sick will not affect your child.
