most of the hard jobs in society are done by men. police, firefighters, construction, etc ...

so when a man transitions, they no longer need to do the hard jobs and can take the easy way out.

I don't care who people have sex with.

What? I imagine an easier way of avoiding those jobs is to not apply for them rather than transitioning to a female.

ST PATRICK'S DAY, PARADES, GREEN BEER, GREEN BAGELS and all that

What do you think about ST PATRICK'S DAY and all that?

Personally, I have no problem with the Irish. They should be happy and be treated like anybody else.

What really gets on my nerve are all those extra promotions. ST PATRICK'S DAY, special rights for all those from green fraternity., Why are they not satisfied with just being people? Do they have to be so green?

What do you think about this? Do you think we should have more ST PATRICK'S DAY parades, green beer, green bagels, and whatever promotions?

Or do you think it would be just fine without any ST PATRICK'S DAY special promotions for those special green identifying so called people?

To be clear: This is not a hate thread against any of those green  "others". What I think is annoying is all this celebrating that they are different.

St Patrick's is a RELIGIOUS holiday.

And there is a story of slavery involved with St Patrick, so the mythology of liberation ...

Not the same thing.

By the way, I dont get bothered by Pride parades, but neither do I attend.

You could have fooled me!

In the US anyway, it's basically Irish Pride.

Remember in the US the Irish used to be classified as black.

The Irish get one day to celebrate.  Count 'em.  One.

You're mixing two different issues here.

Firstly, this is just a list of days that some in the LGBT+ community may wish to recognize. They are not priviliges.

Secondly, it appears that the source is Glaad, an informative LGBT website. As far as I am aware this list hasn't been in any mainstream media site, so it hasn't been shoved down your throat as you claim and it's not compulsory for you to participate.

In the USA, has nothing to do with Irish Pride, as everyone must be Irish.  And just another reason to party.

Like Cinco de Mayo is only celebrated by Mexicans in America.  I'm not even sure they do, unless they own a bar or restaurant.

If the Alphabet folks want to Rock On, I'm all for it.  Even been to a couple parties down at waterfront/Penns Landing in Philly.  Some freaky attire and people watching, good times.

Been to gay clubs, actually some of the the nicest I've ever been in, and seen drag shows, even one while tripping ... maybe that wasn't a trip.  So ease up on the name calling, because you don't know me.

Just ease up on the daily news-blip complaining about your oppression and lack of rights.  It just doesn't shine well.

Can you kind of understand why people are tired of seeing LGBTQ+ parades every few days?

It's not as if we mortals can tell the difference between the Pansexual and Panromantic Awareness and Visibility Day, the Transgender Day of Remembrance, and the International Transgender Day of Remembrance.

The parade fatigue would be the same if they had Little League parades every week.  And Americans love Little Leaguers.  But ballplayers don't crave the attention, nor do the Irish.  So they have one parade a year.  Which we never gripe about.

BTW, I looked for a previous website that was more comprehensive, showing that LGBTQ+ has over 200 days of celebration (or protest) a year.  It came out when the Easter Sunday brouhaha was a thing  Couldn't find it, but the Glaad calendar makes the point.  There's a case to be made that less is more...

Fed up being told that men can get pregnant and have a menstrual cycle, that its ok for transgender men to compete against women.

Peruvian government have got it right, it is a mental health problem.

There are only two genders,  men and women   boys and girls,  male and female, anyone you says otherwise does indeed need to seek help.

Don't be so willfully ignorant.

Nobody is saying a person without a womb can get pregnant.

That's one of your strangest comments to me yet ... and haven't a clue where you're going with that one.

I don't / didn't need a reason back in the day to party.  Philly was a great place to do it.   St Paddy pub crawl, or pick a nationality, and somebody was having a party.   Been to most, if not all, Italian Weekend, Puerto Rican Weekend, Greek Weekend, German Weekend, October Fests.  Just 'Freaky Fridays' on South St, or any weekend at Penns Landing and someone used to celebrating something.

And that's just the city ... step out to the suburbs, Delaware, Chester, Montgomery, Lancaster Counties, or up to New Hope/Lambertville area (uppity gay hood).  Rehoboth Beach, DE was my favorite local beach ... Google is your friend.

One of my best buds I lived with in W. Virginia was from there, and he designed one of the clubs I was referring to, after he left the airlines.

I used to drive to the beach just to watch the sun come up and have brekkie, after a night of partying.  Not a ride for the faint hearted on a MC.   Damn deer are dangerous.

Me arrogant ... simply shows your ignorance :coffee1:

Your posts are.

You are also terminally literal.

The Irish Pride thing was obviously just one example of many.

Nobody complains about other groups having 'special" party times.

Only against LGBT which attracts all kinds of ugly backlash from igorant bigots including violent attacks.

In many parts of the world not even allowed.

Not interested in your some of my best friends crapola.

Reading compression ... it's not the party times, as attended more than a few.   It's the complaining, that comes with it, most times, and the daily news-blips of the oppression & lack of rights. Now anyway, not when we rock the house, back in the day, 80's.

I have. Completely ridiculous and clueless..You seem to be suggesting that LGBT people have full civil rights. In a few countries yes close. In many others going backwards quickly. Again arrogance and now ignorance.

I didn't say that either, although they do have all the rights, with exception of legalized marriage in most 1st world countries.   What other rights do they not have ?

And with many 'diversity' programs, some would say they get preferential treatment in many areas.  I'm here, so I can't give an opinion, as no first hand experience, but maybe believable with some of the headlines I see.

Though I kind of ignore most, on both sides, as never news, just divisive complaining by one side or the other.

Not me. I think there are 2 sexes and the whole woke thing is a con....79 genders indeed. These days everyone wants to be a victim and get special privileges, like jobs based on who you are not on your skills. It's nonsense, as an investor in many public companies, I want the companies I invest in to hire the best staff they can get their hands on and then demand superior performance. I won't invest in any company that I know will hire on promote based on skin colour, gender, sexual orientation, religion or any other supposed DEI nonsense. Critical Race Theory is an abomination along with all these other victimhood status seekers. Wanna succeed? Build a good skill set and keep working at it. Wanna fail in life? Become a victim and complain about it.

In many European countries in this day and age if you're a single white male applying for a job with a woman / an African / an Asian / a person with disability or any of the LGBGTQABCXYZ++ communtiy there's no chance of getting the job.

Most of the companies are scared to employ you coz someone will play the 'discrimination' card.
