-May 19, 2024 11:13 am

"Thai and foreign good Samaritans helped bring the British man who was injured to the ambulance on May 18, 2024.
PHUKET – A fight broke out between a foreigner and a group of Thai teenagers in Soi Bangla Street, a famous entertainment area in Patong, Kathu District, Phuket. A British man who tried to intervene was injured by a knife on his left rib.

The incident took place on the roadside, close to a convenience store where the injured person, Mr. Charlie, a British national, ran to seek help. Good Samaritans and another foreigner who happened to be at the scene provided initial first aid. Afterward, officials transported him to Patong Hospital.

Will get this get the same degree of media attention and netizen outrage as it would has roles been reversed and a foreigner stabbed a Thai ?????   :whistling:

From the linked article:

[ Police Colonel Chalermchai Hernsawat, Superintendent of Patong Police Station in Phuket, revealed that they now know the identities of the perpetrators, believed to be a group of Thais. The investigative team is urgently tracking them down for questioning ]....

And hopefully charging the one who stabbed the foreigner with attempted murder.

------

Of course, most people responding are more likely 'victim blame' and point the finger at the foreigner for getting involved in the first place...   they wouldn't be wrong of course, but that doesn't lessen the point that this is attempted murder with a deadly weapon....

The British lad was reportedly coughing up blood - this is serious (punctured lung ?).

read your original question again ....  had you been drinking when you wrote this ....  haha

anyway,   back to your question ......  I think you already know the answer to that     !    :ermm:

Actually, this story is more mind-blowing than yours .. what a name for a business ... BLOODSTOCK!

https://www.khaosodenglish.com/news/2024/04/20/a-french-suspect-in-a-plot-to-kidnap-a-thai-ceos-daughter-is-released-on-bail/

a 45-year-old French woman suspected of leading a group of foreigners in a plot to rob and kidnap the 7-year-old daughter of a wealthy Thai businesswoman...

Ms. IIssaree Suwunnavid, CEO of Knightsbridge Bloodstock and KXCO, a blockchain technology business, filed a police report stating that a gang of foreigners was intending to abduct her seven-year-old daughter and demand a ransom of more than 200 million baht, or about 5.4 million USD...

I am not surprised you only get spoon and fork when eating, the knife stays in the pocket.

You'll have to explain that one  steven...      the original question was quite clear.

If the roles were reversed...  we'd see this news everywhere...   But we we are not.

....  There would be PBS, ThaiRath, Coconuts, Thaiger articles...     but what do we have when its a foreigner stabbed by a Thai ???...  one article, linked by a forum member.
