Another feeble fable from bits and bobs. I'm waiting for his next silly yarn where he goes on a rant about how tea was a pathetic waste of time and how he's now properly back on the piss with one of his mates, along with dozens of tatted up slappers dripping off his knee, whilst he's about ready to go short-time. Nawng, check binnnnnnnnnnn!

I am now 30 days sober.

for the first time in my adult life I have managed to do a full month off the booze.

I managed it with tea.

good old english tea.

whenever I felt the craving for a drink I would make a brew.

sometimes 4/5 cups a day.

amazingly it has worked and the thought of having another sip of poison now knocks me sick!

Tea is a miracle worker,

can't forget to give a shoutout to it's brother Coffee,

both helped me immeasurably over the last 30 days.

bob.

Well done Mr. Smith. Yes, the best way to break a habit or an addiction is to replace one bad habit with a nonharmful repetitive activity. In this case, the repetition is drinking a volume of liquid from a container (cup/glass) and swallowing. Initially, there can be the addictive property of the substance, such as alcohol, to get out of your system, but that soon goes. Using something initially like a caffeine-based drink can soften the addictive withdrawal by giving you a subtle stimulant. After a while, the benefits of other substances such as green tea (smaller amount of caffeine but healthy other substances) can maintain your alcohol abstinence.

Looks like he enjoys his trolling, but seems he's terrible at keeping track of his lies.

You are about as sober as a bum on the Bowery. 5 days ago you were moaning and whinging about a pint of lager you had in bar in Nakorn Nowhere that had a foul stench.

If you can't be good then at least be good at it because the only fool you are fooling with all your hoaxes is yourself.

One thing more boring than a drunk is an ex drunk droning on about how long it is since they had a drink, it's all some of them seem to talk about, nobody cares.

Funny - I responded to this thread with no judgment, not knowing the background of anyone here.

Provided some advice for free on a forum that may be of benefit to somebody - even if it is not the original poster.

I take no offense at potentially false stories.

My attitude as a health professional is to provide information to the public.

Not my problem if the story is a scam as it is up to the reader or patient or scammer story teller to take it or leave it.

As far as health stories go, when heard by someone like me, it is not me who suffers the consequences of false info; the joke is on them and their health.

Anyone who pities me and thinks I am lessened for having human compassion is welcome to their opinion.

Meanwhile, I will continue reading these stories and use them for ideas and issues where I can give feedback, encouragement, or advice that it is up to the reader to take or leave.

This is similar to how Bob likes to interact with others in his way, and everyone else commenting reacts in their own way.

All good fun.

I understand wht alcoholics lie to friends and family about drinking, but why would anyone feel the need to tell strangers on a forum that they are 30 days sober when obviously they are not?

Yes, but.....

Your scribblings seem as drunken as ever.

30 days is, obviously, not enough.

Let's wait another 270 days.

With 300 days, under your belt, you just might become a reasonable human being....although....

I rather doubt it.

What was your drug of choice, anyway?

Shaving lotion....or.....

The really hard stuff?

Note:  What tea are you drinking?  Try some PuErCha, is my advice.  But, I am betting that even PuErCha.....will not be strong enough to cure the likes of you of all your ills which you write about.

Good Luck with the PuErCha.

I assume that you know that the good PuErCha is sold in large round disks.

The caffeine will do wonders for you.

Might even pep you up....when...

Pepping up is probably the LAST thing any sane doc would order for you.

I know you are extremely wealthy.

So, you should be able to afford the best tea in the world....

Which is as it should be, for someone like you.

Why not climb a mountain and pick the tea leaves yourself, and then roll them into tiny knots, as the tea pickers do?

This might be the first step to your salvation, if salvation is even possible at this late stage of your deterioration.

Have you looked in the mirror, lately?

Do you see someone handsome as Charles Dorian Gray?

If only you WOULD drink tea.....

I remember the concept of builder's tea from my England years, but I think it was that they just put two teabags in the same cup.

Most American have been drinking severely under-brewed tea their whole lives.

For a proper cup of builder's tea, the teaspoon should be able to stand up in the cup unaided. Splash of milk, none of your poncey slices of lemon etc.
