UPDATE Authorities Confirm 14 Dead, 46 Injured in Ongoing Border Clashes with Cambodia Picture of BM-21 rockets being launched on 24 July. The Ministry of Public Health has confirmed that 14 people have died and 46 others have been injured in the ongoing fighting along the Thai-Cambodian border. The figures were released at 21.00 on 25 July, by Dr Warot Chotipityasunon, the ministry’s official spokesperson for border conflict affairs. According to the latest update, the casualties include both civilians and military personnel. Civilian casualties: • 13 dead • 7 seriously injured • 13 moderately injured • 12 with minor injuries (Total affected civilians: 45) Military casualties: • 1 soldier dead • 6 seriously injured • 5 moderately injured • 3 with minor injuries (Total affected military personnel: 15) This brings the total death toll to 14 and the total number of injured to 46, making 60 people directly affected by the conflict so far. In addition, more than 112,000 civilians have been evacuated from the border region amid rising fears of further escalation. Dr Warot expressed deep condolences to the families of the deceased and those injured. He also offered heartfelt encouragement to all Thai citizens, both civilians and military personnel, assuring the public that the Ministry of Public Health is fully committed to supporting and protecting the Thai people during this crisis. The situation remains tense as Thai authorities continue to monitor developments closely and emergency services remain on high alert in border provinces.
