Murder Suspects of Iranian-Thai Couple in Pattaya Escape Thailand

Pattaya — A Myanmar couple believed to have murdered an Iranian restaurant owner and his Thai wife in Pattaya have fled Thailand to their home country.

On July 17th, 2024, the relatives of Ms. Thanaporn Poolprakhon, a 49-year-old victim and wife of the deceased Iranian, traveled from their hometown in Buriram province to give a statement to Pol. Maj. Gen. Thawatkiat Chindakhornsanong, Commander of Chonburi Provincial Police, and Pol. Col. Navin Theerawit, Chief of Pattaya Police Station, at the Pattaya Police Operation Center.

The relatives urged police to speed up their investigation and help recover missing items, including a gold necklace and a wallet that belonged to Ms. Thanaporn, along with other valuables and a safe that have not yet been located.

Meanwhile, Ms. Luknam, the deceased’s daughter, revealed that she had been unable to contact her mother since July 12th, as her phone was switched off. Concerned, she reached out to her mother’s close acquaintances to help check on her and found the bodies.

Ms. Luknam suspected her mother’s Myanmar employees, who she believed were responsible for regular missing cash at her mother’s restaurant, were responsible for the incident. The deceased had planned to secretly install CCTV to monitor this employee, who had also been allowing his girlfriend to stay at the restaurant, though she did not work there.

I would have thought CCTV be the first thing in place before opening for business when you have staff working.

The owner seemed like a nice guy, allowing girlfriend to live with the murderer.

Same old story, nice guy loses out.

Could the killers might have been a Mossad agents by any chance?...

Why is it this OP seems to focus on the missing items instead of finding and prosecuting the individuals? Surely they must realize those things stolen are long gone by now and will be almost impossible to get back. But nothing will be found ujntil they capture and detain and interrogate the perps. Their focus should be on justice instead of the valuables which they will most likely never see again

Yes, had they just finished going through the pockets of the deceased?

Why would they waste time with a restaurant owner with no known links to terrorism? Might as well suggest Wally Winkelman as a prime suspect if he says he didn't get his kebab fast enough.

The owner beat his employees if they weren't working fast enough
