My Blood Pressure Numbers are always Normal - I'm Confused .

Featured Replies

I've obviously been taking my BP wrong. Not that I didn't know, just thought, it didn't really make that much difference ... oops

So yesterday, woke, P'd, did a couple things, then sat in bed, legs out, as usual, and took BP. 144, wait few mins, 137, wait 131, wait, 127, wait, 128, OK, not normal, let's try that sitting properly. Less than 1 min, walk to kitchen, assume proper sitting position, raise & rest arm at heart level ... 111/63 ... say what, that actually works.

For those curious, 90 over what ever, is considered too low for 70 yr old male.

No way, should have dropped that much, that fast, especially after walking about 15m. Try again today, same results. See vid below for how & why, proper seating should be followed.

If  were your doctor...  would be more concerned with your OCD

  • Why? Because -- luckily for you - you do not have hypertension.   Luck of the draw.

There are no side effects from high blood pressure.  That is why it is called the silent killer.  Mopping floors in a hospital does not qualify you to give medical advise, Dr. Mop

This Asian guy, actually I should say Australian born Asian , has fixed all my illnesses

The guy is a witch doctor, can't be a medical doctor.

Over the years I've read you had many illnesses.

The guy has a magic wand to heal all of your illnesses.

Wife pointed out to me, still got a bunch of BP meds, that I no longer take.

Anyone need ? PM me, located Muang, Prachuap Khiri Khan

Though get to Hua Hin & BKK quite often. If <125 kms away, may deliver. Good reason as any for a day out.

Guess I can't say, IF, selling, they'd be half price. I stocked up, right before I weened myself off them. All good exp. dates, and stored in AC comfort.

Some I only took 1/4 tab of, but here's full tabs mg:

Same age, near enough,

I always had under a 100 (often 90/60), the hospital would make me walk around and measure again.

Took mine today, and first time under 100. Dined out for brekkie yesterday, and only had a salad for dinner, so not salting things up as usual. Think I still drank my usual liter of water kefir though. But, also my usual 425ml of coffee. Curious what tomorrow will be. Back to 110+ ???

An hour or so after my morning coffee, it was back to 120.

Back to normal, so guessing it was the lack of salt to retain water in blood, as nothing I ate the other day, needed or was heavily salted. Actually OD'd on carb/sugar if anything. Big serving of toast, pancakes w/ fruit & honey.

For those with high BP, if haven't already, definitely cut back on the salt a bit.

Heading up to Bangkok, Saturday or Sunday, if anyone needing, on the way from Muang, Prachuap, send me a PM.

My bp was normal when I had a stroke at the wheel ,I am lucky to be alive ,and why weight is 65 k ,nothing makes sense.

There are 2 types of stroke:

  1. Throboembolic - due to occlusion of a blood vessel by a clot.

2 - Hemorraghic, due to a blood vessel rupturing.

You almost certainly had the first type (because you'd be less likely to still be posting in here if you'd had the second). It is the second for which hypertension is a major risk factor, not the first.
