Now I understand, just following the ignorant comments by some Republicans who are wrong. In order to assist your  understanding of history I've provided a link below...

Brooks was somehow not alone in making the “Nazis were socialists” argument in Congress this week. Rep. Louis Gohmert did the same, during a House Judiciary Committee meeting about a GOP resolution on the Mueller probe in which he said the Justice Department could, in the future, enable “another socialist like Hitler to come along.”

There are many, many, many things wrong with Rep. Brooks’s and Rep. Gohmer’s understanding of Nazism, from a basic misunderstanding of Nazism and Nazi ideology to what I term the ‘Americanization’ of Nazism: an effort to put Nazi Germany somewhere on the American political axis, where it very much does not belong.

But one of their core assumptions — “Nazis were socialists” — has become one of the biggest memes within a swath of the American Right. And it is woefully, almost hilariously incorrect.

It's not partisan political opinion,. it's politically factual and supported by numerous credible historians. It's a great shame so many trump supporters refuse to acknowledge facts to the detriment of the USA.

It's an article in a leftist media outlet. "...numerous credible historians.", that's a hoot.

To put a stop to your nonsense who would you accept as a credible historian with knowledge of Nazism?

Really embarrassing how the modern left tries to rewrite history ashamed of their past.

IIRC Jared Kushner had $2 billion from the Saudis, for services or purposes unknown. So Trump is no better when it comes to pigs at the trough.

Considering Hitler identified left wing ideology as his core enemy he would not have aligned to Italian fascists if he thought they were left wing. In any case from your link:

“socialist-lite” policies that helped inspire Mussolini to craft his own Italian-style fascism with a right-wing socialist twist. Thus, one could argue that Lenin’s politics were the first modern-day version of fascism and state-corporatism.

Let me educate you.

State control - left wing

Individual control - right wing

Both Germany and Italy adopted mostly state based controls enforced by the army. That is left wing by definition.

Far right means little to no government. You would have just rich individuals controlling everything.

OK. As far as I know his focus was US combat history. Did he publish analysis of Nazi ideology, if so please provide a link.

This is getting ridiculous. both Nazism and Italian fascism were primarily right wing with some similarities to trump's senior advisor Stephen Miller ideology. BTW I usually vote centre right, occasionally centre left if centre right starts attacking the less well off / minorities as has occurred in Australia.

Basic economics you fail to understand. Mostly state control ie more rules means left wing. Ridiculous you don't know this.

Another made up story. Jarad Kusher invested $2 billion for the Saudis, all *done in public, perfectly legal and above board.

*Unlike the money the Biden family sucked out of China and Ukraine...

I agree war is a nightmare. Sometimes, there is no alternative. Just ask Neville Chamberlain how "Peace in our time " worked out.

Either Putin will win in Ukraine, with genocide to follow, or Ukraine will push the Russians out of their illegally occupied territories. That event would probably lead to revolution in Russia.

I really don't understand what Americans are bitching about. There are no American boots on the ground. They are supplying Ukraine with armaments that are superseded. They are selling oil and gas into markets that are now closed to Russia. They can sell their military equipment as the best in the world, after Russian equipment in Ukraine has been made a laughing stock. The second most powerful army in the world, after the US, is now the second best army in Ukraine.

They should be happy as pigs in sh!t, but still they whine.

Don't lie - many American "boots on the ground". Russia will win pretty soon. Enjoy eating your words you are living in La La Land

So you are siding Communists? Giving them power to decide?

This is more accurate: China belongs to Taiwan! The real leaders escaped to Taiwan.

"The Communists gained control of mainland China and proclaimed the People's Republic of China in 1949, forcing the leadership of the Republic of China to retreat to the island of Taiwan."

So, you think the Chinese nationalists and monarchists who fled like cowards are the true rulers of China?

Anyway, whatever the past, very few recognise Taiwan as a sovereign state - including the USA, who threw Taiwan under the bus in 1979 - case closed!

Trump represents the darker side of America. His reaction to Biden stepping down tells us all we need to know about the man who hopes to be president again

Voices: Anyone thinking of voting for Trump over Kamala Harris should consider this… (msn.com)

You seriously think Biden "stepped down" voluntarily?

He was hanging on for dear life. His life is over after the presidency. No speaking engagements for him. You can't blame him for lying to the people abt his health - because his alternative is a rest home.

But he did not step down. Pelosi effectively fired him.

Please explain what part of my post is not factual. Show me evidence of Americans you claim are fighting in Ukraine.

It's a matter of record the 50 km column heading for Kyiv first ran out of fuel, then out of food. It highlighted how incompetent Russian logistics were, and probably still are.

True, Russia will win soon IF Trump is elected. He doesn't care how many Ukrainians Putin murders.

Otherwise, I suspect you will be the one eating your words.

They are all credible sources. Obviously pointless trying to have a dialogue. For the future I will not respond to you or susanlea. FYI Google following bye

The right needs to stop falsely claiming that the Nazis were socialists

The Nazis hated socialists. It was the governments that rebuilt Europe that embraced social welfare programs.
