In dog pack attacks, its not like every dog took 3 bites a piece...there is always a leader and a more aggressive dog. While the attack is usually 1 to 2 dogs, the other dogs run around excited not knowing what to do....

 

Doubt the Thai authorities can manage a vicious assessment scale, but it is time for Thailand to try to quantify dog attacks just like car drivers

Warfarin? It can be messy though. Lead works well, especially in 9mm doses.

Legal or not, if you have a dangerous dog there ought to be a warning at the gate.

Other stories said the lady owner went out, but forgot to lock the driveway gate. The gate is one of those light swinging types and easy to knock open if not locked. The old guy rode by on his bicycle as he often does. The dogs would rush out to bark at any passing bicycle, but the gate is normally locked. This time when the dogs rushed the gate it bumped open and the old man was defenceless.

Issan countryside is beautiful if a little sparse on trees. Mostly fields filled with crops or just lay fallow. Still, outside of the inhabited areas it is a peaceful and relaxing place. Villages, towns, and cities not so good. Lots of bad guys and gals.

Just because a city is developed does not indicate sophistication or intelligence of the local population.

If that's correct,  the owner should be facing serious charges ....  but TIT  .. so it's a birds nest basket and a couple of wai's and it'll all be forgotten.

XL" bullies" are banned in the UK after a number of deaths and injuries caused by the breed.To continue ownership of one here they have to be registered. No new ownership is permitted. Any dog they shorten the name of seems to be dangerous, Rottie, Staffie, Pittie etc. Rotties are high up on the list of dogs attacking people.

But people still have them in UK, no order to have them put down if they follow the rules, most of the owners don't. They get them because they are violent and dangerous dogs, what other reason could there be?

This mantra that it's just the fault of lack of training is specious. You cannot train an attack dog not to ever attack. They're bred for aggression and this can't always be suppressed.
