UK Judicial Uproar Over Sentencing Council’s Guidelines, Judges Voice Strong Opposition
Hmm….in 2017 a (Tory) government study found that violent black offenders were sentenced to twice the length of jail time as violent white offenders. Two tier justice? I wonder who will be first to post “yeah but, no but, what about 2 tier Starmer?) -

Upgraded Laptop Always Needs a Hard Restart
by your description even though its a windows shutdown its not switching off if your then hard resetting the only way to now that for sure i guess would be noe how much battery you have shut it down leave for an hour go back and check battery level lets check we are both meaning the same hard reset holding power down 10 seconds then pressing power again to boot. 1. Make sure your power settings are configured correctly. Open the Control Panel, go to "Power Options," and check the settings for "Choose what the power button does" and "Choose what closing the lid does." Ensure that they are set to shut down the computer. 2. Ensure that your BIOS and drivers are up to date. Visit the manufacturer's website for your PC and motherboard to download the latest BIOS version and update any necessary drivers. 3. Try resetting the power options to their default settings. Open the Command Prompt as an administrator and type the following command: powercfg -restoredefaultschemes. Restart your computer and check if the issue is resolved. 4. Try disabling Fast Startup. Control Panel > Power Options > Choose what the power buttons do > Change settings that are currently unavailable > Uncheck the box next to Turn on fast startup (recommended) > Save changes. thats from microsoft since its windows thats doing the shutdown
