Cambodia Visa for Short Term Tourist

Featured Replies

I just went to Cambodia, got a Visa on Arrival, and they pasted a full page visa in my passport.

Does the Cambodian E-Visa also entail a full page document, or do they just stamp your passport when you arrive?

My last passport had to be replaced early because every page was full. Mostly one page visa documents.

With E-visa you get a stamp on arrival and when leaving within 30 days.

Just a stamp, no full page paper visa?

Okay, next time I will do the EVisa.

As soon as I read your headline I came here to recommend an E-Visa......oh well you know now. But next time just make sure you go to the Cambodian Govt official site, I had a friend who got one but payed about $10 more as it was an agent in Vietnam, their site looked very similar.

Apply here online:-

https://www.evisa.gov.kh/

Follow the instructions, pay online.

The visa will come to your email, cut it out, make an additional copy and staple one into your passport.

You will get an entry and exit stamp only in Cambodia, then just dispose of your stapled e visa when you leave the country.

Flying should be ok but by land you need to check the border crossings, cannot be used at them all.

Yeah, I switched from the VOA to the e-visa - even though the e-visa costs more - because I got tired of filling up my passport with those full-page stickers. (The e-visa also saves a bit of time upon arrival, but usually only about 5-10 minutes.)

Just remember to bring a printed copy of the approved e-visa and keep it until you return. Don't apply for a visa with 1 passport and then get a new passport, It adds about an hour.

I'm not very smart so can you tell me how to scan passport?

Can I first scan to my PC and use the pic?

Also, somebody said "Not valid on land border" but menu shows "Bus ticket" so it should be OK?

Do they really need in/out airline or bus ticket?

How about hotel reservation? They ask that too.

I'm getting ready for first trip to Cambodia.

Thank you!

Yes, all of it.

Yes,

Scan passport page with photo to your PC, crop and make sure it's perfect and it will work.

Some of the smaller land borders do not accept e visas. You can Google and check the border. If you are going through the main border crossings, no problem.

Your third paragraph, yes, they are going to ask you details of where you are staying and by what method you are arriving.

It's all straightforward, really.

If you use an eVisa (type E) to enter the country, do you need to present the eVisa printout when you apply for an EOS (ER) for example?

I had the same issue with my old passport getting crammed with full-page visas. For Cambodia's E-Visa, they don't use a full page. They just stamp your passport at the airport.

Is your entry stamp marked with notes (such as E-Visa) when you enter with an E-Visa?

I was thinking of going but I have plenty of pages left in my passport and ti's going to expire soon anyways. How long does the visa on arrival take? Did you have to stand in line for an extended amount of time? Evisa might be the way to go just to move things along quicker.

But if it doesn't really matter I will just go and then get the big old sticker in my about to expire passport.
