Popular Post spidermike007 Posted August 24 Popular Post Posted August 24 (edited) I always say do everything possible to avoid having any contact with the police, nor asking them for assistance unless absolutely necessary. They are not here to serve, they are not here to protect, they are here to collect. I may sound like a contrarian but I also do everything possible to avoid insurance companies, yes I have insurance on my car, and yes I do carry accident insurance, but I refuse to carry health insurance. I self-insure, and I avoid insurance companies whenever possible, they are mafia organizations, much like the RTP. Edited August 24 by spidermike007 1 1 3
Scouse123 Posted August 24 Posted August 24 It seems a ridiculous state of affairs that a man parks his car and forgets where, I did that even as a young guy. Only then to have the Police come and accuse him of insurance fraud, sounds like a total scam on behalf of the Police. Any decent lawyer should get this dismissed, if he had lousy representation in the first instance, it was probably an ' ambulance chaser ' trying to milk the situation and make money out of the poor guy's misfortune, only for the Police and others to jump on the gravy train. 2

Thingamabob Posted August 24 Posted August 24 He sounds like an innocent in the LOS (Land of Scams). A bit too eager to lodge an insurance claim, thereafter getting entangled with the police. Big mistake.

Easier said than done. Indeed, give the police a miss until you actually need them, such as for a report or whatever. A lot of those guys are in it for the graft. Also, signing that while not consulting his wife was not smart. Perhaps he was trying the insurance con because it all sounds so bizarre.
