Who eats this crap?

.....not me!

I have tried it many times and I've come to the conclusion that it's not acceptable to my taste buds.

I enjoy it ... though it is a bit silly priced.   Saw a double trailer today, full up ... guess heading to CN, as read they love it, and pay even sillier prices for it.

Don't care for it....

My daughters & wife do.....

I've tasted some of the side dishes, soft serve, cakes, & drinks and it's better tasting than the raw stuff - but I'd never order it....

I eat it occasionally; put a small lump in with yoghurt, fruit and nuts or add a bit to French vanilla ice cream.  Miss T buys when is season. As I seem to be paying for it, why not. Then again when in kindergarten, I was the kid in back of the room eating paste during art projects, so ....

I tried it once. My breath was like sewer gas for the next 4 hours.

My GF loves it. She is forbidden to open it or eat it inside.

Personally don’t mind it, only have when the wife brings it home. Some varieties are actually pretty good, others taste like some sort of ethanol. I can’t justify spending ฿300 for a few ounces of fruit.

I don't mind eating a bit of durian when it's reasonably priced.  I think durian ice cream is pretty good.

The only thing limiting my consumption is the value.

Initially I didn't care for the smell at all.  Now when I smell it my saliva starts to flow.

Definitely overrated, there seems to be a hiso buzz about it, probably a reason they like it

I tried Durian when I first came here and I didn't like it. I'm not bothered by the smell, which to me is insignificant compared to the smell of the fermented fish/crabs used in Somtam.

Yes I eat it and love it. Bit overpriced in my view so don’t eat it regularly.

The smell produced when river prawns are grilled is the one I dislike the most in Thailand.  To me it smells like burning hair.

My wife is willing to pay a high price for those prawns caught in the river but not the farmed ones.

My gf likes them, and many other Thais like them.

After a long time in Thailand, I don't consider the smell really smelly anymore. Only 20 years, and you get used to it. 😉

mrs Nik and mother dearest love it. We have a bit of an uneasy truce. No durian in my house, or i come home with a new pet snake.

I like most fruit, but I'm not a fan of the taste or the smell of durian.

I think some people just like it because it's expensive.

Chanthaburi durian, we have family connection to an export orchard, three varieties, daily in-season, after dinner, evening on the balcony with iced water.

Durian man!

Can eat it, can leave it.

My 4-star TTC hotel in Nha Trang had sign; "NO Durian indoors!"

- that's one reason I stay there...

And stay outside for at least 4 hours.

Wasn't interested, until I had it with sticky rice and coconut sauce in a local place on Phuket. An alternative outside the mango season. A luxury pudding 😊

Love it, though price is a limiting factor.

Best when ripe, almost custard like consistency and with plain icecream ... yummo.

As you are in your "senior years" and not much time left,  nothing wrong with gouging yourself with "luxury" pudding

You didn't get much "pudding" in your younger years ,so enjoy it , gouge it down.

The wannabe Thais.  "I enjoy it."

So how often to your eat it?  'I can manage one bite once a year.'   Wow that good.
