I'm not posting this as a "The Sky is Falling" panic notice but users of generic Android TV boxes should give this a scan, especially if you store any credit or debit card information on the box for services payment.  It seems the boxes that use the unlicensed Google services version are thought to be vulnerable.

Thanks  but this is not "new"  news  there was a expose of this kind of thing a few years ago too...still good to keep the awareness up about it 👍

I think, all be it I could be wrong, that this is a "new" or at least different exploit.
