A total of 10 prizes were awarded, with the top prize being 20,000 THB. The total sum of rewards distributed on this occasion was 50,000 THB, generously sponsored by Viriyah Insurance.

:cheesy:  :cheesy: so even if the reward was 1k that's just 50 drivers.

Videos selected for their content will not only earn monetary rewards but also receive a certificate of recognition from the Royal Thai Police, honouring the citizen's contribution to public safety.

No thanks imagine yourself being splattered over the news, for dobbing someone in who got caught fined or jailed when most own guns. Cops are allowed bullet prove vests we are not.

Well, I'm just going to set up a camera at a couple of pedestrian crosswalks and see how much I get.

You're a Thai citizen?...

Police, alongside partner organisations, are offering cash rewards for citizens who capture traffic violations on video as part of the "Volunteer Traffic Eyes" project. Total rewards exceed 50,000 THB.

A way for the poor to make an honest living?

Might be better to set up outside a Police station. 😀

Easily done. The crosswalk on Phutthamonthon 3 which is constantly ignored is five meters from the police station.

Perhaps they would if they were provided with the facilities and funds to do so.

They have all they need to do their jobs. They get paid. Laws are broken all day long here, and we as foreigners see them all day long. Doesn't take much to pull over people speeding, cutting off others, driving without helmets or more than 2 on a scooter. Then they can find out many aren't licensed, have insurance or are under aged. bringing in more revenue and likely saving lives. Simple solution that's been pointed out here many times. Pay is quite good, and this is how many stations there are countrywide, with other info.............https://police-station.com/list-of-royal-thai-police-stations-rtp-in-thailand/

I would not snitch on anyone unless it was a traffic accident where people were injured and the driver did not stop

So someone drunk, climbing into a car......and you do nothing?

Someone driving at excessive speeds in a built up area.....and you do nothing?
