V P Debate
A nothingburger gaffe. Everyone knows it was a gaffe. If the gun nut magas push that as real, they only hurt themselves, because that highlights that they've got nothing to offer about gun massacres other than empty hopes and prayers. Go for it! -

The Mayor today and all the ones before the municipal officials all the relately contractors are all crooks. V P Debate
The exchange where billionaire's owned venture capital boy / sleazeball Vance refused to say that Trump lost in 2020 will be the one thing remembered from this debate. Thus -- Walz Won. -

Boost Songkhla tourism with better rail links to Malaysia, says guide
A great first step would be to re-open the dis-used airport in Songkhla town so tourists don't have to take the white knuckle van ride from Hat Yai to the beach. Edit: Even a limited flight schedule once or twice a day to keep the nuisance noise down... -

Incredible US banking ineptness
Well, that was my exact question. I asked her if they issue credit cards without checking the application. She had no answer, of course. But,, no, there was no miscommunication. She understood what I saying. It was her position that she couldn't close the account without proof that it was actually fradulent. I told her to check the social security number and compare the name with the name on the account. They can't match, so that should be proof but she wanted my personal details as well. I can easily imagine this happening. In my former life, I worked with a lot of bankers and usually they have sales quotas. In this case, the maximum limit on the credit card ws only $5400, so I suppose that would be an incentive to rubber stamp it without checking the details in order to make a sales. That's how the financial crisis occurred, remember? -

Toppings for toast?
Be amazed if you can source it in Thailand, even from the online expat shops. It is hard enough to get in the UK for me. It's very much a Northern thing and is stocked in the regional supermarket chains like Booths. I order mine 3 bottles at a time (and take them back to Thailand) from:- https://www.lancastersmokehouse.co.uk/ They do have their own website so you could email them and see if they ship overseas? (although the costs would be ridiculous compared to the £2.99 per bottle price) https://www.lancashiresauce.co.uk/ FYI - it is very similar to L&P and Henderson's but has a mild, slightly Indian curried taste. It really is very good. Do you know anyone in the UK who is due out to Thailand at some stage? Perhaps they could order a bottle or two and bring it out for you? -

Anybody running Windows 11?
I am running Windows 10 because that's what came installed on the PC. Windows 11 looks horrible even at the start, the desktop design looks awful, I like the Windows 10 and I run classic shell so I can see desktop icons. -

Thai Parliament Set to Decide on Controversial Liquor Bill Today
I'm a tea totter, not even a beer. But, if folks want to drink, and want variety then I think it is their decision. I know in the US there are all kind of small brewerers that make beer, and allot of beer enthusiasts love these places. Same with wine here. -

Israel and Hezbollah Exchange Blows in Pre-emptive Strikes and Retaliatory Attacks
He did mean that it would no longer be an Islamic Republic of Iran , the Ayatollahs will be removed from power and someone else will take over and it will then just be called Iran . You thought that he meant that all 90 million Iranians would be killed 🙂 -

Field trips don’t hurt students, poorly-maintained transport does : PM
I'm sorry but this is a ridiculous and tasteless comment. School excursions are a legitimate part of education. This one ended in tragedy. -

I Voted Today
They call him "Calgary Cruz" for a reason. Also "Cancun Cruz" for another reason. Anyway, I am off to Texas today to fix my voter registration and to get an absentee ballot. -

Thailand’s Bold Move: Decriminalising Sex Work Sparks National Debate
No matter what happens, the sex industry will continue. Legal, decriminalised or illegal. For me, I'd have thought the Government might like the extra tax revenue. -

Thailand’s Bold Move: Decriminalising Sex Work Sparks National Debate
Dang, and I was going to apply. Not sure I could live on a weekly income of 101 Baht though. Who would give me that odd 1 Baht? All of them!
