You and your Thai Wife of 20 years.

Recommended Posts

Let's suppose you married your Thai Wife when you were around 40 years old. The both of you are now 20 years older, living in Thailand.

Always assuming you are still together, what made it last? Your and your wifes physical atrraction has not increased over the years.

So, what is the "glue" that held it together for the last 20 years?

Sex, quality sex,

Relationships must be cultivated, like an garden. You stop caring, you finely have nothing to eat. At least not from your own garden.

that's funny, thanks for the chuckle.  Almost as good as the one I got from Iran attacks Israel thread.

He answered your query, and reporting, I was obviously trolling, and get a pass :cheesy:

We've just passed the 20 year mark, I guess the glue is that my wife and I genuinely care about each other, plus we treat every day as a new start, despite any problems the day before.

11 years now with a wonderful woman. We have a very nice relationship, and take care of each other, and it's the longest lasting relationship I've ever had. But I have to admit that age has a lot to do with it, I have a couple of failed marriages and numerous failed long-term relationships behind me, and the main reason for those failed relationships was I couldn't keep my willie in my pants. But now I'm 77 and don't have much libido left, so staying on the straight and narrow is not difficult.

If both 40 when married, now she is 60?

Sorry, after 40 or so, Thai women don't look very good in my opinion.  Many fail to take care of themselves and some seem to get round looking face and head not sure why.  Some call it potatoe head.  Not all Thai and don't want to be demeaning, just what I have noticed.  I am sure they are still lovable, but definitely not for me.  30 years younger at the minimum is acceptable.

More is better.

They can, however.

They do, but then again, so do farang men. They become enablers of their mutually unhealthy habits, same as in Western countries.

You can have a fit, hot, good-looking older Thai lady IF you stay fit and healthy yourself (in your own best interests) AND encourage (insist) she do the same. Get her on low carb, in the gym regularly, and taking yoga classes. Takes time to get her on board, but it can be done, 'cause I've done it.

Sounds good in theory, but the younger ladies who'd accept such an older farang tend to be immature, irresponsible, unreliable, gold diggers of the sort prompting so many horror stories here. Much to be said for older ladies who've worked in respectable jobs w/ an understanding of the real world and are more likely to have a modicum of sincerity.

But I agree that it depends on the individual. Just talking probabilities.

Well I'm 65 she's 55 we're both past the scene, more now 'shall we have a cup of cocoa and go to bed'

Been together since 2004, so we've gone the distance. Up's and down's, who doesn't

Kids are gown up, now we revel in juicing up the grandkids up then letting mom and dad settle them down lol

Not married but living together for 25 years. When we met, she was 20 and I was 51. We have a brilliant son aged 22 still studying at university. She is adorable, fun and an exceptional cook. I took some extra kilos eating the food cooked by this Chef.

Life is good. I'm getting old and she takes a good care of me.

Love , friendship and mutual respect.

People say we both look good for our age , slim and healthy.

My wifes smile always was , still is and always will be beautiful.

Like I said , slim and good.    At 67 ,  I'm the one on the slippery slope.

Slim is good. You can still be attractive at 80, but it is exceptionally hard. Lots of work.
