Im looking for a compact Small Form Factor PC

im not after the latest and greatest as i've no interest in the gazillion things it can do

if its last years, the year before model, thats fine, even a refurbished one with a warranty of sorts, but would prefer new

its the size that is important,

yes we all know that.....

Suggestion as to a shop that might have...

Thanks.

We don't understand SFF here. We only speak Ultra-compact Form Factor (UCFF), hence all the NUCs suggested.

It'd be fun to build your own. But Lazada has quite a few used Dells etc. SFF for sale, and some of these may fit the bill. Note you may choose from different configs.

Browse around, see what you think:

These have their fans. Here we have a homeowner incorporating Dell SFF architecture:

Now, as Big Spenders here, we absolutely forbid you to buy anything used. Should you rebel, then just choose the vendor carefully, read the reviews, ask questions of the vendor by chat msg, and you'll be fine. I buy used stuff w/o problems as needed, e.g., a laptop, CPUs, HDDs for backups, mid-range graphics card, etc.

The last thing I brought was HP Laptop last year----I ended up getting it from Advice, as it was about 4,000 cheaper on their webb site, compared with shop price-so asking at the shop they agreed they would get in for same Webb price and add all the programs win 11 - office etc .

JIB also made the same offer Pay for it at their Webb site and use their shop as delivery address.

Don’t recall seeing sff’s in cm, though computer plaza on the west end of manee noparat might be worth a shot for something used. Recently bought a lenovo p3 mini after using a sff’s and more than happy with it, had it sent through Lenovo.

Used not a bad idea, but your example isn't a good choice. OP should be looking for 8th Gen at a minimum.

The OP is of course free to look for whatever he wishes, w/ his price/performance in mind.

What's with the egotistical reply? You know that Windows 11 needs certain requirements. The device to which you linked is too old and is thousands of baht more expensive than the newer model that does fit the requirements. Yours was a poor choice. Is it too hard to agree?

I expected you'd quickly show up to start a typical bickering loop. Not taking that bait, sorry. I done all I'm going to bother doing on this topic.

Why would you EXPECT that? Because you understood in advance that your reply was egotistical and defensive. If you actually wanted to be helpful, you might have concurred that 8th Gen up is required for Windows 11. You know....actually working together to achieve a goal. But your ego wouldn't let you 😊

No need for you to reply. All is clear.

Not sure of your location. But bought a couple last year in Fortune Town in Bangkok. New ASUS to drive my NAS for the TV and a 2nd hand Dell for general App development. Both working fine.

Have a look at the JIB website. They have Computer Sets from 7.5k https://www.jib.co.th/web/product/product_list/1/1400

If they give you Microsoft Office for free, that must be a pirat version that might cause you future problems. Office 365 is around 3.000 bath a year. Office 2024 I think will cost around three times that as a one-time pay.

This JIB --Advice .. Geir Rasch  not a corner shop or market.    It last for 1 year, then you can buy at reduce price----Microsoft gives  this  to all major outlets-- Its  only home version & its not 365. -- have you brought in Thailand before ??......

Anyway good luck

IN Case you do not wish to pay the silly prices you are quoting --I (& friends)  have brought from them last 12 years   https://m.cdkeysales.com/

Siam tv on the west end of chang lor has a good selection of pc’s. Sff pc’s are generally targeted for the business market, probably not going to find a new one in a retail store around here.

I bought a "refurbished" laptop from Lazada and it was in a terrible state, I am still waiting for a refund.

Clearly, however, you suffer from an incurable monogenetic disorder known as ESDD, or E-Shopping Deficit Disorder. Always buy new, only at established, reputable local shops and department stores, and purchase extended warranties and product support whenever possible. Keep all packaging and receipts.

Though @33 RPM said that refurbished would be OK, and such are most readily at hand, he might consider visiting JIB and ordering a custom-built mini-ITX, which falls into the SFF category. (See https://reddit.com/r/sffpc/ for all things SFF.) Seems JIB has sufficient inventory, esp. since many ITX cases will accommodate an mATX motherboard.

https://www.jib.co.th/web/product/product_search/0?str_search=itx

A much more expensive solution but unquestionably better and of course forum poster Approved®. Could be quite a nice box good for many years, offering the maintenance and upgrade advantages characteristic of a standard desktop PC.

I agree that Microsoft prices are high, but I use MS Office in some professional work, so I will never buy MS Office from other than Microsoft.
