Trump kicks off a Pennsylvania rally by talking about Arnold Palmer’s genitalia
Could Trump have PTSD after his 2 assassination attempts? Or is it just dementia? One sign of dementia is "losing one's filter." "When a person living with dementia loses their inhibitions, you might refer to it as 'losing their filter'. This occurs when dementia causes damage in the frontal lobe of the brain, which manages our social filter, self-control, and decision making, among other things." Trump in just the last few days has talked about Arnold Palmer's penis and said Harvey Weinstein got "schlonged." The evidence keeps piling up for dementia. And is this really behavior that Evangelicals can support? Here's the clip of Schlonged: https://youtu.be/TXNX_U1HK_k?t=70 -

What comes after election day (unless Trump wins the electoral college)
Trump's inauguration in January, 2017 was uneventful - aside from disputes about the crowd size. The antifa riots didn't begin until the "Unite the Right Rally" the following August. I suspect that the 2025 Inauguration will be met with fairly quiet dread and disbelief. -

Sick and tired
Personally I follow elections in the USA closely. As a Brit born in the early days of WW2 I value a friendly relationship with America. As a result I have been disturbed by Biden's antipathy towards the UK which is why I am following the Harris/Trump with interest. -

Nearly 20% of Thai teens at risk of self-harm, warns DMH
Almost 20% of Thai teenagers face the risk of self-harm, according to the Department of Mental Health (DMH). This alarming statistic underscores the urgent need to prioritise mental health issues among the youth, experts suggest. DMH director Kittisak Aksornwong revealed on October 18 that 503,884 teenagers aged 18 and under have registered on the Department’s Mental Health Check-in application from February 12, 2022, to October 18 this year. The app is designed for self-assessment of mental health and screening for potential problems, offering users a channel to seek advice from experts online. Out of those registered, 51,789 users, or 10.28%, may be at risk of depression, while 87,718, or 17.4%, are at risk of self-harm, Kittisak noted. “These figures not only reflect the urgent need for mental health care among teenagers but also serve as a warning sign that we all need to work together to solve this problem.” Addressing mental health challenges, especially in the digital age, requires more than just government intervention. Kittisak emphasised that cooperation from all sectors, including the private sector and civil society, is essential. Speaking at the launch of the TikTok Mindful Makers campaign at Samyan Mitrtown, Kittisak highlighted TikTok as an influential platform among teenagers. He pointed out that technology and social media significantly impact daily life for the younger generation. “Creating a safe online space that is responsible and promotes good mental health is a challenge that we all must work together to achieve.” The DMH has partnered with TikTok Thailand to introduce the TikTok Mindful Makers campaign and the new Sati app. This app provides access to safe, confidential, anonymous, and on-demand listening services offered by trained listeners. The TikTok Mindful Makers campaign collaborates with the World Health Organisation and the Mental Health Trust Network Programme. The goal is to disseminate information about mental health, foster an online community of support, and promote a more compassionate and understanding society. Chanida Klyphun, head of public policy for TikTok Thailand, highlighted that Mindful Makers has garnered over 13 billion views worldwide. She stressed the importance of making the platform safe for everyone to ensure it remains a creative and supportive space, reported Bangkok Post. by Bright Choomanee Picture courtesy of Department of Medical Health Source: The Thaiger -- 2024-10-21 “Making the platform a safe area for everyone is essential for it to become a creative space.” -

EV Owners … Real life experience & help thread
Let's not lose context or twist my post, your post was in response to mine (above). Whether some manufacturers haven't reached their anticipated profitability yet doesn't mean they are dumping or that it's unsustainable. All new models are sold at a loss until development costs are recouped. They need either substantial cash reserves or financial support until they hit that point. Unsustainability only occurs if they run out of finance before that point. That can be down to many factors. If a Chinese manufacturer can make and sell cars at a profit (eg BYD) than that means it's a sensible price for that segment. It's up to the competition to compete. It's not right to say the price is wrong and unsustainable as one manufacturer has already demonstrated it's ok. If the competition is selling for less than that, it could well be unsustainable. -

Atorvastatin
There are several brands available in Thailand.I formerly used Sandoz 20 mg though at my pharmacy availability is less certain than before. It's now available again after an absence. My question is whether there is in fact any loss of benefit in switching to a cheaper brand of generic eg Xarator 20 mg which I've been using recently. I'm not concerned to find the cheapest alternative, more interested to know whether there is a difference in quality or efficacy. -

Best Orthopedic (orthopaedic) Doctor Or Surgeon In Bangkok?
I have pain in the back of my knee. A few weeks ago I saw a doctor at a hospital in Bangkok (not sure if I can mention the name) who recommended laser physiotherapy in 2 weeks, 3 times a week. It has been a fairly expensive treatment but unfortunately it has not helped. I have seen @Sheryl's recommendation for Dr. Panya. The thread is fairly old so I am just wondering if anyone has some new recommendations for a good orthopedic doctor in Bangkok preferably specialist on knee surgeries. Thanks.
