15k is the maximum income that the calculations are based on, not how much can be received for the pension.
If you retire with full contributions over 15 years, you'd get 3,000 baht. I can't remember the formula exactly but then you can add on something like 1.5% of 15,000 for each additional year. You'll get nowhere near 12,000 baht.

Let's not be too arrogant, it's a start from a very low bench mark, funds have to be available to raise pensions and this can take decades. At least they have seen the writing on the wall and are making a start. The same problems are facing the West where the demographics are a harbinger of bad times ahead, raising the retirement age to 70 is no longer unrealistic, with small incremental steps, in the future, this would ensure that many will never receive a pension or if then only for a short time thus reducing burden on the retirement funds, basically, if you don't have kids then you don't get a pension worthy of the name.

B/S I don't have kids and my pension is 2700 AUD per month

However, at that time I was told by the officers that I could take the lump-sum and still continue getting medical cover for about 400B / month. They even said I had 6 months to decide AFTER getting my lump-sum.

Yes,my German pension is bigger than that but we are already retired, it wont take too long before the next bulk of retirees comes along and the funds get depleted (America is a case in point, many states wont be in a position to pay the promised amount of pensions to their retiring government workers). My German daughter who is 38 already assumes that she wont get a pension. There is a limit to the burden (wage deductions) that one can put on an ever decreasing number of young workers compared to an ever increasing number of retirees.

They were lying.. I took the lumps sum and continued with the 432 baht a month payments. 

I bought Bitcoin with the lumps sum which I continue to hold and it worth x10 what it was when I bought it. 

I will get the 600 baht/month when I am 60. 

 

I'll also get the full UK state pension if I reach 67, despite only working there for 4 years.

Paid back 10 years of Class 2 Voluntary contributions then 150 quid a year or so.

If they make this into law, what happens to all the youths you see getting their crisp graduation certificates, where jobs are concern. Now that uncle & aunty are working past 60 in the service. 

They want the old folks to dead on the job, so the Government do not pay out pension or social benefits.

hey every ten years it goes up 100 baht, so if you make it to 100 years old you will get 1000 baht a month

  My Canadian pension is so much better, with OAS, Old Age Security

check to help me as well.  i do feel sorry for the senior population in Thailand.

Unless the person was a rich business owner or politician, the Government pension is

They are only following other countries and others are raising it higher now.I believe aust is 69 or 70 now.Greece was 50 or 55 before the eu stepped in and told them what to do.But 65 is starting age for most countries.I believe the US can be 65 or 70 for better benefits.So thailand is just following the trend,maybe the younger people in time will have the age set at 75 who knows

It's a profitable company that actually offers something of value.

Nvidia past 10 years great performance can't even compare to BTC over the same period.

There is plenty of resource online to explain what Bitcoin value is and why it will keep growing. You may not understand or believe in it and it's ok.

Well, the Bitcoin chart on Google goes back as far as 2016 and it has done 14,500%. I could look elsewhere to see what it has done since 2014.

 

Nvidia has done 30,000% since October, 2014.
