Ditch coffee for cacao?

CACAO has less caffeine, helps increase blood flow, lowers blood pressure compared to coffee which increases heart rate, and has minerals and anti-oxidants and tastes great.

And you don't need a fancy machine to prepare it.

  1. Lower Caffeine Content: Unlike coffee, which is high in caffeine, cacao brew is significantly lower in caffeine. This makes it a great option for those who are sensitive to caffeine or looking to reduce their intake.

  2. Presence of Theobromine: Cacao contains a compound called theobromine, which is a natural stimulant that dilates blood vessels to increase blood flow. This provides a gentle, long-lasting energy boost without the jitters and crashes often associated with coffee consumption.

  3. Rich in Antioxidants: Cacao is packed with polyphenol antioxidants and flavonoids, which are known to boost the immune system. In fact, cacao has one of the highest concentrations of antioxidants in any food in the world.

  4. Promotes Heart Health: The theobromine in cacao helps to lower blood pressure, prevent strokes, and promote overall heart health. Unlike coffee, which can increase heart rate, cacao’s theobromine dilates blood vessels, promoting healthier blood flow.

  5. Rich in Minerals: Cacao also contains essential minerals like magnesium, calcium, copper, and potassium that help regulate various processes in the body.

One of the best things about Thailand is the cheap availability of both cacao and moringa powder. I like to make a shake with soy milk, cacao, moringa powder, whey protein, etc and make a shake.

But a shake is different than a hot cup.

I've recently started reading about moringa and may start taking it. It's super high in many nutrients.

Powdered cacao without added sugar is commonly available. Do you want to know where in Pattaya?

Read about nattokinase supps too if you haven't already. The only supp I take regularly.

does moringa originate from thailand?

No but it grows everywhere in the tropics like a weed. It's a tree. Some YT vids about it in Thailand.

Not a chance, overweight people seem to get man boobs

Use 100% cacao powder (no sugar added) to make my chocolate.  Add a wee bit of sugar, to cut the bitterness.  Recipe is 1/3 cup coconut oil, 1/3 cup cacao powder, 1/3 cup sugar :w00t: although I only use 1 tbsp, if that, of honey or sugar.  It is addicting though and a bit calorie heavy.

Don't think I can go back to eating store bought chocolates, as taste so sweet now.

May have to try a cacao powder smoothie.  Been using frozen berries added to my kefir of late, since producing a bit too much kefir, everyday.

Naw, mix them together

I might have to give this a try, do you guys drink this instead of coffee? especially in the morning,

Add milk and sugar and it's milk chocolate!

There is no substitute for Coffee, not a big fan of chocolate drinks

Why would anyone want something other than real coffee?

Have a cup with some butter. I highly recommend it.

It takes more to make a decent coco than it does an instant coffee.
