A security sweep at Phuket International Airport led to the arrest of a taxi driver after officers discovered knives and meth pills in his vehicle. This incident, which occurred yesterday, November 4th, highlights the vigilance of airport security and law enforcement in preventing illegal activities.

 

During a routine checkpoint from 10 am to midday, the Sakhu Police, working alongside the airport security team, stopped a sedan with Songkhla plates. The search of the vehicle uncovered two methamphetamine pills, two spur knives, and a golf club.

 

The driver, known to the police only as Wirach, was taken into custody and transported to Sakhu Police Station for further processing. This operation underscores the importance of security measures and diligent monitoring efforts at busy transport hubs like airports.

The picture depicts what exactly? certainly nothing to do with the report they should have used a picture of a couple of aspirin tablets instead of this total mismatch

That's a poor Harvest just 1 Taxi. 

What about All the other Taxies ,Most /if not all carry some kind of weapon and Drugs  as well.

I suspect the idea is... If there is no actual photo to use, any photo is better to draw in the reader... 

How many taxi drivers carry weapons in their taxi in Thailand ?

 

 

It would of course a guess and someone is bound to levy the accusation of Thai bashing or prejudice etc..    but.. how many reports do we read of taxi drivers involved in fights we weapons... 

 

So.. whats the estimate ? half of taxi drivers carry weapons in their taxis ?
