A Thai father is taking legal action against his ex-wife’s new husband after the man sexually assaulted his 16 year old daughter while the mother allegedly turned a blind eye for financial reasons.

The 16 year old girl from Pattaya turned to Channel 7 after her biological mother refused to help and did not believe her account of the sexual assault by her stepfather. She admitted to having suicidal thoughts due to the stress caused by the incident.

The victim revealed to the media that the stepfather took her to a football field, without her mother accompanying her. After playing football with his friends, the stepfather encouraged her to drink alcohol until she was drunk.

The stepfather then took her to his car and wiped her body with a wet cloth. He then ordered her to undress. She complied out of fear.

The following day, the stepfather took her to the football field again, asked her to drink alcohol, and touched her private parts in the car. She decided to run away from the vehicle. Her father told her not to tell anyone about the incident and took her back home.

The girl disclosed that the stepfather often took advantage of her mother’s absence to sexually assault her. She could no longer endure the abuse and confided in both her mother and her teacher but neither offered any help.

The victim shared a screenshot of a conversation with her mother with the media. Her mother expressed disbelief and emphasised that the victim should be patient because the stepfather provided financial support.

Her teacher also failed to help the girl, stating that she had never experienced such a situation and did not know how to assist her.

The news agency tracked down the girl’s biological father and successfully contacted him. The father revealed that he had been searching for his daughter for over 10 years but both his ex-wife and her mother prevented him from seeing her.

The man expressed his sorrow for what his daughter endured and vowed to pursue legal action against the stepfather to the fullest extent.

Channel 7 reported that Mueang Pattaya Police Station officers summoned the stepfather for questioning this afternoon. Details of the interrogation have not yet been released.

It seems there are lots of mothers out there who see their daughter as assets which have to be rented or sold to the highest bidders.

@ 16 many are sent to Pattaya to earn some coin..... Oh wait, she already in Pattaya !

And the current government wants to protect Buddhism?  Are the two adults involved in this crime Buddhists?

Maybe protecting Thai children would be a better priority?   The Thai PM is a mother, is she not?

No .... he already stated what he meant if you see the comments above.

He meant these people because it was not just the mother who didn't do anything,  but also the teacher,  so that means ' these '  not singular.

This is one of the most, if not the most, common form child abuse in Thailand (and many SEA countries BTW) There is a Thai slang term for 'marry the wife get the daughter too'

I don't get the spew at the teacher .... This Is Not Your Own Country; not Euroville or FOX-Amerika. TIT. No idea what social status any of these people are. However if a teacher reported this, (to who?) no matter if true. Status of people involved could get them fired, or violent reprisals taken against, likely both. It is sad, but ... what you going to do?!

A very sharp pencil to the neck can be a wonderful instrument and it in particular case if applied properly this vermin would never again attempt such an act. Cretins like this must be stopped, with whatever means possible by the woman who's being harassed. Especially when they have a low life mother who would do absolutely nothing to safeguard the person that they've been sworn to protect.

If you're incapable, if you don't have the capacity, if you are unwilling to demonstrate the courage to do the right thing when it comes to protecting your children, just don't have them to begin with. You doing them and everyone else a disservice by reproducing randomly like that.

What are you going to do? Do the right thing, regardless of culture. What is this inane attack on " Euroville or FOX-Amerika."? or the lame "this is not your country" crapola. You think molesting minors is okay by stepfathers? Is that what you do? Teacher didn't know what to do? Ask the police what to do. Not rocket science.

I was a teacher in America (learn how to spell it). We were required by law to report any signs of child abuse. We would do it regardless, but legal requirement takes some heat off of individual reporting.

Get fired.... for what? Protecting children goes with the territory of being a teacher.

I do not recall all the details. He was a teacher, he tried to report another teacher, Thai National who was 'perhaps' taking liberties with the students - My lawyer insists I state it that way - He was warned not to do this. He only spent two days in KKaen pokey and then quietly deported, but cost him serious money. He also was accused of the very thing he had felt morally compelled to report. He was hitting/molesting on students. I kid you not.

Of course you would have handled it differently, even though I cant see a thing in your post to tell me what that would be.

Forgot to state specifically he was a westerner, well liked by many teachers and students.

Welcome to Thailand

Immediate sacking offence.  Lots of Thais in official capacities do nothing because it's easier.

Perhaps apathy made her feel her responsibilities ended at the school gate. Sad really, you would expect a woman to feel more empathy and act.

maybe in an update with a criminal record, they found he is a convicted pedo?

should go in jail for sure after evidence is found... rape kit ?

or if nobody does anything, cut it off and feed to the soi dogs

I think many, in official capacities, don't see they are part of the wider picture; they are in their own closed space.  Just as Thais will blunder into others without seeing them, officials have a very narrow concept of what their job entails.
