I suggest you need to spend less time worrying about the lives of other members… just a suggestion.

Perhaps the Left could spend less time trying to control the lives of others.

I’ve got some disturbing news for you.

Wolf Hall is an adaptation of historical fiction novels.

It’s not a portrayal of real history.

Oh please! Is that all you've got?

Like women’s health choices?

Why is 'woke' considered a pejorative?

Because it generally consists of people who always get it wrong on every subject.

They didn't care when it came to vaccine mandates and lockdowns.

And the thoughts/speech/language of others.

Sorry, It’s just the absurdity of your comment about black actors in tv series that is based on a work of fiction.

What vaccine were you mandated to take by ‘The Left’?

It's the BBC rewriting history to suit its own agenda.

What are we talking about, abortion? At some point in late stage pregnancy there is indisputably another person involved, so it is not "our bodies ourselves". Both extremes are wrong. Abortion is not a "health choice" in anything other than medically indicated abortions e.g. ectopic pregnancies or rape/incest pregnancies.

You mean the ability to kill their unborn children as late as possible?

Gee you sound like the Democrat sore losers.

We had an election, it was an overwhelming majority.

Welcome to democracy.

What was woke was having a black leader replacing the woman leader who replaced the clown.
If that isn’t woke I don’t know what is.

Confirmed you have no idea of what woke is using that as an example

Glad I checked the source before making the effort to read this.......saved a few minutes out of my hectic schedule.

Wolf Hall was written by Hilary Mantel, and it isn’t ‘history’, it’s drama.

Erm no.

But there you go with that ‘strawman’ you are so fond of.

My personal situation is irrelevant and none of your business.

Leftist governments were amongst the most illiberal and authoritarian during Covid. Trudeau, Ardern, Daniel Andrews etc.

It's in their nature to try to control others.

"We will continue to be your single source of truth" etc. - Ardern. Sinister.

So what women's health choices were you referring to?

Don't be shy.

"Mantel said she spent five years researching and writing the book, trying to match her fiction to the historical record.[6] To avoid contradicting history she created a card catalogue, organised alphabetically by character, with each card containing notes indicating where a particular historical figure was on relevant dates. "You really need to know, where is the Duke of Suffolk at the moment? You can't have him in London if he's supposed to be somewhere else," she explained. '

Not sure how having black actors portraying characters fits in with that, kinda contradicts history.

Well the alternative from leaders from the right was to inject yourself with bleach with a light shoved up your bum.
Or go to hospitals and make everyone shake your hand.

Death rates were much, much worse in the right wing led countries.

Can you give supporting data?

He seems to be very shy, he clams right up when asked to support his arguments - just slinks quietly away.

1. Global Comparisons:

• Brazil (Bolsonaro, right-wing), the U.S. (Trump administration), and the UK (initial Johnson approach) faced criticism for delayed responses and high death tolls.

• In contrast, New Zealand (Jacinda Ardern, left-wing), Denmark (Mette Frederiksen, center-left), and Finland (Sanna Marin, left-wing) implemented early lockdowns and had relatively lower death rates.

2. United States (State-Level Data):

• Research from U.S. states showed that COVID-19 death rates were higher in Republican-led states compared to Democratic-led ones, particularly in the later stages of the pandemic (after vaccines became available).

• A study published in Health Affairs (2022) found that Republican-led states had a higher cumulative death rate and lower vaccination rates than Democrat-led states, even when adjusting for population density, demographics, and healthcare access.

3. Europe:

• In Europe, right-wing populist governments like Hungary and Poland initially struggled with high death rates, while countries like Germany (under Angela Merkel, center-right with a science-driven approach) performed relatively better, though later waves were more severe.

• Sweden (a social-democratic country) took a controversial hands-off approach, resulting in higher death rates than neighboring countries like Norway and Denmark.

Indeed.

And you can imagine the uproar if the situation was reversed and a white actor was given the role of MLK or Muhammed Ali. The world would stop turning.

They start banging on about cultural appropriation if a white guy dares to have dreads but have no issue with black women straightening their hair.

DEI is fine as long as you only discriminate against white people, apparently.

Make fun of Christianity all day long but mention Islam and you're Islamaphobic.

Black pride is fine, but dare to wave the Union flag and you're a white supremacist racist.

The hypocrisy of the Wokeists is astounding. 😆 The fact they claim they cannot see it makes me question their intelligence/honesty.

I am wondering how "To Kill a Mocking Bird" would work with a white actor.

I remember how our Leftie English teacher was incensed at the injustice of how the jury verdict didn't fit the evidence. It was a work of fiction FFS, albeit supposedly representative.

In truth they came from across the empire,  Legio IX Hispana being an example.

But none were from sub sharan Africa as the BBC and woke black activists lie about. There is a record of a legion from Mauretania Caesariensis, at Hadrians wall present day Algeria in N Africa, but they were not black, nor were there any black Emperors, nor was Cleopatra black and no black aristocrats in Henry V111's court either. We are being continually lied to with these invented histories.

I'm sure you know, but for the benefit of those who don't this is termed "revisionism" - the rewriting of history to fit current political agendas.

True...not an aristocrat......

John Blanke, a Black trumpeter in Henry VIII’s court, is one of the most well-documented Black individuals from this era. He is depicted in the Westminster Tournament Roll (1511), an illuminated manuscript, where he is shown playing the trumpet during royal ceremonies. He is also recorded to have petitioned Henry VIII for a pay raise, which was granted.

Yes we all know about Blanke who came over with Catherine of Aragon but did not stay very long. He was a SERVANT not an aristocrat. There were also some African divers brought over to recover things from the Mary Rose, they did not stay either. This does not mean there was a black population, or any in the high levels of British society or royalty. Blanke is the one thing they have to fuel these lies, not forgetting Queen Charlotte wife of G3 who they claim was also black, because an ancestor 500 years before married somebody from N Africa in Spain, it's all laughable propaganda. Blanke has never been portrayed of course, can't let reality get in the way.

It’s a logical conclusion drawn from Nick’s comments, there are lots of very attractive women, beautiful too, in the UK.

Nick doesn’t seem to have met any.

I wasn't being serious about , it was just humour .

Self deprecating humorous comments  , don't take humour so seriously .

OK, as you are upset about it and I don't like upsetting people : I apologise for my comments on the appearance on British woman and I didnt mean to suggest that they aren't attractive and I wont say anything detrimental about the appearance of British   woman again  .

Do you accept my apologies ?

British woman can be just attractive as woman from other Countries
