Trump: Forgive & forget??

Back to topic heading, in the upcoming Senate session, there will be 3 GOP Senators who voted for conviction in the Trump Impeachment #2.

Conviction implies:

Article I, Section 3, Clause 7 provides that the sanctions for an impeached and convicted individual are limited to removal from office and potentially a bar from holding future office, but an impeachment proceeding does not preclude criminal liability.

So, the 3 GOP Senators, by their impeachment guilty vote, have stated that Mr. Trump should have been barred for any future Federal office.

... and coincidentally the GOP Senate majority for the next session has a majority of 3.
