The only time I've heard any complaints where we live (an the noise can be horrific), was when the monks in the temple hired one of those ******* stupid music buses and drove it round the village at 3am for an hour.....??????

Un*******believable.

Yes, they can be noisy.... used to have a PA system blaring out from the monks all round the village at high volume.... some farangs complained to the police and we then got anti-farang rants at high volume for a week. Used to wish to be back next door to a mosque like I was in Abu Dhabi!

Quieter from the monks these days! Just the early morning bell and chants on a Buddha day!

  • Perhaps because you're not living in his condo................🤭

  • It doesn't bother me in my condo (situated in a quiet compound). It bothers me when I go for a walk, when I ride on my motorbike and a heavy motorbike is passing by , at high speed, roaring like a F

We have they joy of living not too far from four temples and villages.....the temple furthest away is the loudest???

....the power coming from those buses is incredible...you can hear them from miles away.

When I die I want one contracted to play 24/7 for a week.

Yesterday I got on the Baht Bus at junction of South Pattaya rd heading towards Jomtien

About 200m up the road was massive police presence (and I mean massive at least 20 of them) pulling bikes left right and centre.....4 pick up trucks were loaded with bikes just rammed inside

No idea if from noise or untaxed uninsured or what but never seen anything like it
