Sir Keir Starmer has refused to meet a Second World War veteran who had £60,000 wiped off her state pension.

Anne Puckridge, who turns 100 this month, is one of half a million British retirees who do not benefit from annual increases in their state pension because they live abroad.

 

The Government has struck deals with some countries to ensure those living overseas benefit from inflation-linked state pension increases.

This is a human tragedy!

She & others should of been at bare minimum grandfathered  into the exception!

 

 

That 60k will house an extra few migrants in some nice all exclusive accomodation I suppose

I think it's disgusting that the PM can't find a few minutes to meet this lady and listen to her grievance.  What is he scared of?

A 99 year old woman who served in all three branches of the Armed forces and won two medals and who travelled 5000 miles to the UK and it will be her 100 th Birthday this month .

  Starmer should have found the time to meet her based solely on that .

Even just a cup of tea at Number 10 .
