From a blokes point of view

They just don't feel right.

Better stay with what she has.

If they're done right and not blown up to ridiculous proportions they will feel fine as the implant is behind the real breast tissue...what you feel is her original tits but bigger.

Let her have the implants, her next b f will find them fun to play with

It's probably the next boyfriend who suggested that she gets them done at the current boyfriend's expense.

This is a very good topic.

I read where breast implants have a life of 10-15 years and need to be replaced.

There are health concerns.

I think it's sad that there are so many social media women and hiso and superstars that get them.   So much pressure on girls with perfect A or B's.    Scars from implants are such a turn off for me it would negate any positives.    I guess now the best surgeons put the scar under the arm but it is still there.     I say it is an option for those that are just to small and I met 1 Thai candidate.  I couldn't see myself with her for long term with basically nothing on top even though her figure was nearly perfect.  It just didn't give me fire in my desire.

The effects of advertising are strong.

Whiter skin

Pretty noses

Narrow cheek bones

These funky shaped eyebrows.  Who ever thought of tatted eyebrows should be shot.

Maybe Asean Now, should start an adult section.

It may save them in the long game.

Good idea!

My ex-wife had a boob job for the reasons the OP's GF gave. It did make her feel better about herself. Also, their notion that clothing hangs or fits better is relevant, but that's something that the average bar-trawling farang in singlet and cargo shorts has no idea about. My current (and final) wife also had a boob job after our first-born totally buggered up those 'perfect' little titties she had. She's happy and I'm happy.

Both of them went to one of the best or highly recommended clinics in Bangkok and both refused the recommendations to get something bigger or 'more full' and the results were 'perfect' bigger titties.

The fad that's grinding my gears right now is this madness about getting an enhanced lip pucker but only in the middle of the upper lip. Some look nice but most look like a cold sore waiting to break out. Bloody awful IMHO.

So, my Thai girlfriend of 7 years suddenly decided she wants to get a boob job. Not sure what triggered it, but now she’s asking for my approval. Here’s the thing: I think she doesn't need it. She is beautiful as is, just the way she was made, and I’ve expressed that clearly to her. But she insists it’s not for the reasons I might think, she says it’s about how it will make her feel inside. According to her, it’s not about making them very big or being flashy. She wants something that is still very natural-looking, but to help make clothes hang better and to boost her confidence.

On the one hand, we all have insecurities. So if this will make her feel better about herself, should I be the one to stand in the way? It’s not an issue of cost, but I do wonder about how the change in appearance might affect her socially. Let’s be honest, people can become judgmental in Thailand, especially since she has a foreign boyfriend. So I'm concerned others could make negative assumptions about her. Will it change the way she’s treated in Thai circles and for the worse?

There’s also a potential relationship aspect. She says that it’s only for her, and that it's her body, not for me or anyone else, and I guess I can accept that. But at the same time, I still feel a bit confused. Part of me wonders if her wanting my approval is because she’s hoping that this won’t change how I feel about her.

Also there is the question of whether this will really give her the confidence she’s looking for. Not sure if surgery will make her feel more comfortable in her own skin, or if it is a case of wanting to chase perfection that might lead to further dissatisfaction down the road.

Well, should I support her decision wholeheartedly and let her do whatever makes her happy? Or should I continue expressing my reservations? Have any of you been in a similar situation with your partner? Did the surgery actually deliver the confidence boost that was expected?

I think it's fundamentally a self esteem, confidence,  and body image problem, and those are emotional issues beneath all else. Counseling would be helpful to explore that thoroughly before any decision is made, but I know little or nothing about that kind of therapy in Thailand. On the one hand big boobs might make her feel good with no other complications. But There's a chance that if this doesn't cure the self esteem issues then she may remain confused after spending a nice chunk of change. People can become addicted to cosmetic surgery. I think you are quite insightful about this being more complicated than it might appear on the surface, and you are to be commended for having the right kind of sensible concerns for her and the outcome. If this were in the US and it were me I would go with her to couples' counseling to tease out whether this is the right move as far as her self esteem and happiness go. I wish you both well. BTW, not all surgeons are created equal, if you go that route put due diligence into finding one whose work is outstanding.

My Girlfriend got implants ten years ago

They dont last for ever so must be replaced.
usually every ten years. Can be a bit more.

This is the biggest downside. If she gets them at 30, then really will have to be done again at 40,50,60,70 etc.

or removed which will leave them in very saggy shape.

If you change girlfriends every few years this is not an issue. But for a long term wife it is a bad idea in my opinion

would you suck a rubber penis ?

If that's what you need to do to feel fulfilled then just keep doing it. No need to seek approval from others on AN for that.

Fake breasts are gross. I won't even watch porn when the actress has implants.

I realize you say she wants them, but remember, a man's IQ varies inversely with the size of breast he prefers.

Who's paying for it

My advise is go for it, some excellent plastic surgeons in this country. I bought my wife a pair 20 years ago as it's the gift that gives on giving. She gets older, but her breast stay the same.

Ask her what happens in the long term. Don't they need replacing every 10 years? A big cost and inconvenience. And if she eventually wants them out what will her (baggy) tits look like then.
