A TikTok content creator and cycling enthusiast lost his life on the morning of December 18, after being struck by a train while filming a video on the Chulalongkorn Railway Bridge in Ratchaburi. The incident occurred at approximately 07:30 near the Chulalongkorn Bridge crossing the Mae Klong River.

The victim, identified as Mr. Wiroj 53, a bilingual teacher and well-known Tik Toker, was struck by train No. 252 on its route from Prachuap Khiri Khan to Thonburi. Police, rescue teams from the Prachanukul Foundation, and officials led by Pol. Lt. Col. Pusnisa Chantrach, Investigator at Muang Ratchaburi Police Station, responded to the scene.

Authorities found Mr. Wiroj's body in a devastating condition, with severe injuries including some dismemberment. His body lay on the railway tracks about 200 metres from his damaged bicycle, which had been flung to the side of the tracks. Scattered around the area were pieces of a broken tripod, fragments of his helmet, and personal belongings.

Footage retrieved from the victim's phone suggests he was filming a video for his Tik Tok channel on the tracks when the collision occurred. Authorities believe that while he was focused on setting up his equipment and editing the clip, he failed to notice the approaching train. Reports indicate he had his back turned to the train, likely unable to hear the warning signals before being struck. His body was dragged along the tracks for approximately 200-300 metres before the train came to a stop.

The victim's wife, visibly distraught, confirmed his identity at the scene. She explained that the morning had started normally, with the couple dropping their daughter off at school before she went to work and he went to film at the bridge, as he often did for his TikTok channel, "Pai Nai Pai Gun Namman Mai Tong Sai" ("Wherever We Go, No Gas Needed").

"He was a kind and cheerful person who loved cycling and sharing his life on TikTok," his wife recounted. "He always took care of our family. I don't know how my daughter and I will continue without him."

Mr. Wiroj was a beloved figure in the local cycling community and an active Tik Tok creator who also reviewed products and tourist attractions. Friends and followers of his channel were stunned by the news of his untimely death, describing him as warm-hearted and passionate about his hobbies.

Police and rescue teams continue to investigate the incident, and no foul play is suspected. Authorities are urging the public to exercise caution when filming or taking photos near railway tracks, emphasising the dangers of being distracted in such hazardous areas.

Darwin will fix the issue of TikTok and its members.

Tiktok and Instagram seem to be the most ridiculous when it comes to these challenges, and these unbelievably nonsensical extents to which people go to do what?.

Iompress their friends, fit in with their clique? At what point do smart people say this stuff is completely bizarre and downright dangerous. No thanks.

He may have also thought that if he moved to the side, he would be ok.  After living on a main railway and seeing many deaths, people do not realize that trains will suck you in if you are too close.

It is not a pretty sight but he was not standing in front of the train if they could do a visual of the body.  She may have identified him by the bike and other things.

The incident is very sad and an awful way to die, not to mention the drama of the family left behind and the horrible experience for the conductor. But at the same time, one must say the guy really wasn't very smart.

However, about  your last statement: the deceased was a youtuber, an activity which apart from impressing friends does in fact bring in money from sponsors and ads -if successful. The really top ones (not this poor guy obviously) have billions of views (yes, 1000s millions) and rack in tens of millions dollars per year. Welcome to the brainwashing power of the internet.

totally agree, there seems to be no end to the stupidness and the amount of them is continuing to increase all the time.

what, how?? Trains are incredibly loud if you ask me. I really do think Thai's don't process noise the same way we do. They seem oblivious to it as many here probably noticed.

Why wasn't he wearing a yellow safety vest ?

Because he knew it would not resist the impact of a locomotive.😋

Train drivers always sound their loud horns when approaching crossings and bridges known to have pedestrians. Also they reduce speed. The victim, reportedly, was a frequent visitor to the bridge yet seemed not to know the daily schedule of trains.
