Pickup Truck Crash in Sattahip: One Injured, Streetlights Damaged

Pol. Lt. Pongpisut Mahasetthaworakun, Deputy Inspector of Sattahip Police Station, Chonburi Province, received a report at approximately 23.00 on December 18, of a pickup truck driver losing control and crashing into streetlights before overturning on Road 332 heading towards Yaek Je intersection, near Miranda Village, Moo 7, Sattahip Subdistrict, Sattahip District.

 

Emergency responders from Sawang Rojanathammasathan Foundation and disaster prevention officers from Kled Kaew Municipality rushed to the scene.

 

At the site of the accident, a gray Chevrolet pickup truck (license plate from Chonburi) was found overturned onto its roof. The vehicle had struck and broken two streetlights in the road’s central divider, leaving the poles severely damaged. The truck itself was wrecked.

 

Nearby, rescue personnel found a 31-year-old man, later identified as Mr. Nuntaphon, lying in pain. He sustained serious injuries, including a head injury, fractured right arm and lacerations. First aid was administered at the scene before he was transported to Queen Sirikit Naval Hospital for further treatment.

 

According to the injured driver, he lost control of the vehicle, while traveling along the road, veering into the central divider and hitting the streetlights. The impact caused the truck to overturn and left him injured.

 

Authorities documented the incident and assessed the damage to the public streetlights for legal proceedings. Further investigations are underway.
