Elon Musk Advocates for Tommy Robinson’s Release Amid Criticism of UK Leadership

Elon Musk has sparked controversy by calling for the release of Tommy Robinson from prison while criticizing prominent UK political figures, including Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer. The billionaire and founder of Tesla shared a series of tweets supporting Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, and accused Starmer of failing to address grooming gangs in Oldham during his tenure as head of the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) from 2008 to 2013.

Elon Musk's tweet: Free Tommy Robinson! @TRobinsonNewEra. 19.7M views.

Musk promoted a YouTube documentary by Robinson, claiming it sheds light on political biases within the judicial system against right-wing figures. He described the video as "worth watching" and suggested it illustrates deeper systemic issues. Musk further called for a new election in Britain, citing Starmer's alleged unpopularity as a key reason.

The entrepreneur also targeted Labour MP Jess Phillips, the minister for safeguarding, after reports from GB News suggested she had dismissed calls for a public inquiry into the grooming gangs in Oldham. Musk tweeted, “They oppose an inquiry because it will show that those in power were complicit in the cover-up.” He went on to state that Phillips “deserves to be in prison” for her stance on the matter.

In another tweet, Musk directly criticized Starmer’s record, writing: “In the UK, serious crimes such as rape require the Crown Prosecution Service’s approval for the police to charge suspects. Who was the head of the CPS when rape gangs were allowed to exploit young girls without facing justice? Keir Starmer, 2008-2013. Who is the boss of Jess Phillips right now? Keir Starmer. The real reason she’s refusing to investigate the rape gangs is that it would obviously lead to the blaming of Keir Starmer (head of the CPS at the time).”

Phillips defended her position by stating that the Home Office believes the matter can be handled at the local council level. She emphasized that Oldham council could lead its own inquiry without government intervention. Meanwhile, Starmer has countered Musk's claims, pointing to actions he took during his tenure as director of public prosecutions. In 2013, Starmer initiated legal proceedings against the Rochdale grooming gangs and implemented reforms in how the CPS addresses cases of child sexual abuse.

Starmer also criticized previous Conservative governments for failing to introduce a mandatory duty to report safeguarding issues. He has maintained that considerations of ethnicity or “political correctness” should never interfere with bringing offenders to justice.

Robinson, a controversial figure known for his far-right activism, is currently serving an 18-month prison sentence after admitting to breaching an injunction. This follows a successful libel suit against him in 2021. Musk’s public support for Robinson and his critique of the UK’s handling of grooming gang cases have drawn both praise and criticism, reigniting debates over justice, political accountability, and free speech.

I'm not a huge fan of Tommy Robinson, but the way he has been treated is disgusting when you consider how Paedophiles are spared jail in the UK, BBC luvvie Huw Edwards a recent high profile example but much worse cases involving child rapists getting suspended sentences if they are from the "correct" Demographic.

The documentary "Silenced" about his treatment has been shared by Musk on X and now has over a 100 million views. Incredibly embarrassing for Starmer's regime. It just gets worse and worse for 2 Tier Keir. I wonder how much longer the Labur party will be willing to enable him. He's a national embarrassment.

Let me guess: Tommy Robinson has been deemed a racist and hatemonger by the Left and is thus in jail. Guess I need to look this one up.

No. Stephen Christopher Yaxley-Lennon, the multiple convicted criminal  is in jail for contempt of court and for violating a court injunction. It was not an isolated event. He violated the injunction 10X, each time being warned to stop. Actions have consequences and a multiple convicted  violent criminal cannot expect to thumb his nose at a court and get away with it.

In 2021, he was  bullying a 15 year old child and was found guilty of libel in that case with a £100,000 judgement plus legal costs.  He was ordered. to stop his libel and chose not to.

Yaxley Lennon forced the court to act. When jailing Yaxley-Lennon for 18 months, Mr Justice Johnson said: “In a democratic society underpinned by the rule of law, court orders must be obeyed.“Nobody is above the law. Nobody can pick or choose which laws or which injunctions they obey, or which they do not.“Even if they believe that an injunction is... contrary to their views they must comply with the injunction. “They are not entitled to set themselves up as the judge in their own court. Otherwise the administration of justice and rule of law would break down.”

You and the BBC? Investigation needed then!

Tommy was jailed for contempt of court, because he refused to be silenced over his documentary about a bullying immigrant..... I've seen the documentary and the facts of that case.  That immigrant bully should (IMHO), be deported from the UK.

Yes, an unusually long sentence for which he is spending his time in solitary confinement.

Meanwhile convicted Paedophile Huw Edwards walks free among us and our children.

I use Yaxley Lennon’s real name, the one he states when arraigned in court and the name stated in the Judicial records.

Nothing at all to with your transgender fixation.

I'd imagine American Liberals will consider buying Chinese junk EV's instead.

After all, they share the political philosophy of Xi's PRC far more than they do Musk's pro free speech anti censorship message.

Musk won't care. He has shown time and time again that he cares mroe about free speech and liberty than he does making a few extra Billion.

Besides, Trump might add huge tariffs to the imported Chinese EV's manufactured under terrible human rights conditions. Let's hope so.

Unlike you I do not invent "facts".  What part of multiple convictions for violent crime and tax evasion do you not understand? What part of the  openly documented court case of his bullying of a 15 year old child do you deny? What part of  his violating a court order on 10 separate occassions do you not comprehend? How else do you expect a court to enforce its orders when a violent criminal disobeys?

If not, seems a tad hypocritical, no?

Really? The police were  praising Musk on how quickly he provided video recordings from all of his Tesla  charging stations and other  monitoring devices in respect to the  fire outside the Trump hotel. All done without a court authorization. Apple guards its users' privacy based upon   a respect for privacy. Musk values personal privacy only as it applies to himself.  When Musk  provided his  surveillance information, it  included data on people with no relationship to the event.

The MAGA collective  is the first to complain  of big government and  advance the claims of  a deep state. What is more deep state than Musk's network of surveillance cameras and recording devices? Welcome to the Trump world where dissent will be crushed and where all will be monitored.

Two separate and distinct issues. The  groomin sex gangs may indeed merit additional investigation, but that has nothing to do with this   violent  man, tax evader's contempt of court. The issues are not related.

I dont like electric cars and would never buy a Tesla.

Does the Tesla contract provide for data collection? What are the clauses about location information being provided? Does the US constitutions 4th amendment provisions cover location information? If so, what about the issue of exigent circumstances? Do you have a reasonable expectation of privacy in a public charging station? Are you contending that surveillance cameras are illegal?

You dont know the answers to any of the foregoing, so your progandistic hatespew against Musk is based on ignorance.

You could do, but I can also help you.

His name isn't actually Tommy Robinson. It's Steven Yaxley Lennon. He has convictions for assault (he attacked a policeman who was trying to stop him from beating up his then girlfriend), mortgage fraud, perverting the course of justice (he refused to obey a reporting ban put in place to prevent risk of mistrial). He also lied on social media about a schoolboy, putting the boy at real risk of harm from the nazi thugs Yaxley Lennon grifts off.

Thankfully the boy had the courage to stand up to the cocaine addled bully and took him to court and won substantial damages.

Oh and he isn't the champion of children he tries to paint himself as. While he creates outrage at Muslim grooming gangs, he is remarkably supportive of the pedos who surround and support him. I guess they are the right coloured pedos.
