So I understand I will have no problems if I bring cash with me, right?

Just beware, though, that, when taking more than 10,000 EUR cash out of Spain, you'll need to sign a customs declaration at the Spanish end.

  • Don't get overwhelmed. You have Thai wife so there is a conduit there. Keep in mind as soon as the extension is granted (final stamp) the 400k can be used for whatever.. 2 months prior

Indeed.

However as pointed out in thread.

It's a bad idea. He can transfer funds using WISE or other alternative.

The best exchange he would get in Bangkok SuperRich Green head office Silom and that will provide less baht and much more hassle

Plus why does he feel it necessary to bring across the equivalent of 400k at all if he is in receipt of pension, etc income derived in Spain, given that the Spanish Embassy presumably still offer their nationals an income confirmation service - although this does not, admittedly, appear to be crystal clear from a brief look at their website:

I was just asking in order to know all possibilities but I will not take with me 400.000 THB. I will use my bank or Revolut to transfer me the money or I will send it to my wife's bank account and then she will transfer to my thai accound once is activated.

Thank you both!

Hello again.

I have some question about the requirement: copy of house lease agreement, identification and household register of the owner.

I'll be arriving tomorrow and we have rented and apartment. The owner can provide these documents but I have to show the originals to immigration? I'm specifically talking about the identification and household registration because it seems to me quite inconvenient that I have to take with me original and private documents from another persons. Is it mandatory or for this requirement with a copy is enough?

Thanks in advance,

Why isn't the landlord doing the TM30

They will do TM30 as well. My doubt is about the other requirement when I will have to extend. If someone can help me I'll be very thankful

Not sure what your concerns are.

For the application for the Non O after you arrive has various requirements.

Very straightforward.

One is proof of address.

Most folk provide a TM30.

Providing a lease is a bonus.

What "other requirements" for extension are you concerned about?

About these: identification and household register of the owner.

Should I bring with me the originals or with a copy signed by the owner is enough?

So bring us up to speed. Read back through the thread. To be clear...

You will enter Thailand with a Non O e-Visa?

You indicated earlier that were staying in wife's house and now refer to "having rented an apartment"

Yes, I got the Non-O visa. At first our plan was to stay at my wife's apartment the first month but we have decided to rent an apartment instead because it's more convenient for us.

In that case the owner of the apartment can provide you with a TM30.

If you are doing a lease then also provide that to immigration when you apply for your 12 month extension.

As you are aware the Non O e-Visa you obtained (smart play) will give you a 90 day stamp.

Have a hard copy print out of the e-Visa to show airline at departure and Thai immigration when arrived.

Check your stamp from the io is 90 days

You will be applying for the extension after funds have been in bank for 2 months.

You can sort out TM30 etc after you arrive.

My thai partner has rentals and takes only couple of minutes to provide the TM30 to tenants.

I appreciate your help and all the information provided but I'm still not clear if a have to bring with me the ID and bluebook (household registration) of the owner when extending my Visa. Is it needed or just a copy is enough?
