I was hoping after the election all the boring Trump stuff would disappear from this forum and we would get back to Thai news and life.

But it has got worse. 
It seems most of the posters couldn’t even name the current Thai PM but seem obsessed by America, despite not living in the USA or even being American.

Endless arguments, half of it BS, and nobody will change their views anyway.

So much interesting stuff happening in Thailand but everyone seems obsessed with American krap.

Should be called AmericanNow.

 

Would it be a good idea for Aseannow to employ someone who can speak Thai? So we could have some Thai news?

It could be great this forum for expats and thai tourists with proper content.

There are 100 forums here, and you choose to focus on 2 or 3 specific forums that are open where people can discuss politics !(soapbox) and what they choose.

 

There is a Thailand News section where around 60 articles A DAY are posted every day.

Just stick to the Thai News forums and avoid the World News ones.

Maybe it is the way I use it. I generally just look at the topics on the right of the screen.

You should do one of these lists at least once a week.....more entertaining than a lot of threads.

What should happen is that all non Thai news SHOULD NOT be in the email news updates.

I loose time reading those links to all the left-right BS. I don't want to know, I don't go looking

in the forums for it.

If you access AN by viewing the latest posts, rather than going to specific forums (as I think many people do as they want a general view of what's new) then most of what you see is Trump related .... which is odd for a Thai site.

 

By volume of posts and replies, this has become a Trump discussion board.

 

There may be many other posts, but it's the Trump related ones (plus, I guess, ones about Thai girls) that get all the replies, and so dominate the new posts view.

 

Yes, I could just focus on the farming or scrabble forums, but I used to like seeing an overview of what's happening in Thailand, now I just Americans scrabbling.

it's an american forum, USA leads the world  and as said above  there is  a Thai news forum, too 

personally I am interested by every news around the world ( and I love Thailand )

Let me correct that for you ... "it's an American forum" = "American bash fest" dominated by non Americans.

 

I like that AN is all the MSM headliners in one place.  Occasionally there's  topic or last comment that warrants a comment, if really bored.  But that's about it. 99+% is ignored by me.

 

Get my news from RTnews, and only 98+% is ignored by me.  But that 1% is enough to stay current in world events.  

 

Talking to the dog is more informative than all the news / op-eds provided by so called news agencies.  If I want information that I need, there's YT & Gmaps for that.

Should I take the C19 vaccine ?

Where's the closest guesthouse that allows pets ?
