  • Yeah no pity for the Phuket taxi scum , seems they don't like when the tables get turned

  • I have no evidence of this particular incident, but having experienced Patong TukTuk drivers i would say that story is highly unlikely. A driver asking the guy to politely move his bike and then retur

3 on to 1, that's usually the Thai men's cowards odds. Well done lads 🤣

Is there that much traffic at a closed mall at 3am?

Here's a tip for everyone that drives. When you stop to let others in or out of your vehicle, don't pull up so close to whatever is in front of you that it requires you to backup to continue on your way. I don't care taxi, tuk tuk, motor bike or perdonal vehicle, it just takes a little bit of thinking ahead, that's all.

Whenever I hear a story about Phuket taxi drivers getting a good shoeing I almost become physically aroused.

It's truly wonderful stuff.

PTS probably, spinal injuries no doubt.

They don’t like it up em.

Phuket and Pattaya two places to stay away from...

but isn't Pattaya the family friendly gold pristine resort centre  ?

oh hang on a minute  '     wasn't there a gun fight there a couple of days ago  !!    Yikes !!!   :cheesy:

I would almost, with emphasis on almost feel sorry for that Tuktuk driver, but then in some countries we say ‘he kind of made it there’.
And I dare say that with my 11 years of experience with Tuktuk drivers on Phuket.

As a side note, I have already posted it here before, if you park your car in Patong anywhere that the local criminal population does not like, you can be sure that a big scratch has been placed on your car from front to back, but they all smile so kindly.....

Totally agree, they got their own medicine and don't seem to like it, but its ok for them to gang up on foreigners/pensioners and beat the crap out of people being twice or three time their age.

They.....them, or just 3 scumbags beating up 1 man. I sincerely hope that these quality tourists are placed in detention.

What did this driver do to deserve the assault?

When did this driver "beat the crap out of" anyone?

Everybody in Patong should be there for a good time, leave all that aggression where you came from, hope it costs them a lot of money!

Aggression is in their genes.

From what I read, Phuket is way ahead of Pattaya in the violence stakes. 18 years living in the Pattaya area, I've yet to encounter any violence, whereas in the UK and Mainland Europe these days, it seems that you have to think twice before walking through town centres of an evening and sometimes during the day.

Well done, lads.

Strangely, it doesn't happen in Pattaya, where baht buses / tuktuks drive around, and it's 10 baht hop on - hop off.

In Phuket, they park up all day, waiting for their turn to rip of one foreigner for more than a day's average salary, and just for a short journey.

Tuktuk drivers have ruined the Phuket holiday experience for many tourists.

Three foreign men attacked a Thai tuk tuk driver in a gang assault on Sunday, February 2, following a parking dispute on a road in Phuket, leaving the victim with serious injuries.

Deport these idiots for life.

If this driver was part of other tuk tuk drivers committing or threatening violence against farangs then he deserved what he got, if he wasn't then no, he did not deserve it.

Those bastar*s, seem like Arabs(from the 3rd photos).

Often demonstrating explicit arrogance toward the ”Lesser People” from their perspective, while they behave opposite to the wealthier/more powerful.

I, Personally witnessed such a scene in 1998, during my first trip to Thailand.

It happened while on the large shared bus, from Phuket to Sura Thani(unsure if they still operate though).

3 men  from Qatar, Oman, and Bahrain (from the driver's passenger manifest I glanced).

There were then only 4 passengers(3 Arabs and myself),

so unmistakable.

Despite clear on-board sign of No Smoking, all of them  immediately lit their tobaccos when the bus started.

As well as ignoring driver's words to stop it.

Instead of extinguishing their cigarettes, they returned snear.

Then the driver opened up the bus door close to them while the bus in motion at 80km/hour.

I now recall,  they better behave themselves while here, before they meet some painful lesson.

When Thais really crack, they sometimes don't hesitate to resort to some drastic measure.

One slice of Thai society quite a few expats know about  if they are here long enough.

Study destination, it is the one essential preparation while planning any travel abroad.

Travelers' ignorance, might sometimes costs dearly...

And there was no suggestion anywhere that he was part of any attacks.

Did I say there was?? Read my post again from the beginning.

The thinly-veiled suggestion certainly was there.

Many Thai netizens expressed concern over Narin’s condition and called for Thai police to closely monitor the behaviour of foreign tourists and enforce strict laws against them.

Firstly, I do not condone what has happened or any form of violence, for that matter, but where were these 'Thai netizens' when your lot ganged up on foreigners?  And why can't the police also closely monitor the behaviour of local thugs and enforce strict laws against them? Not so nice when the boot is on the other foot eh?

Some foreigners seemingly localised with their habits.
