I wonder how far back these bans in Phuket go? Military service in Israel has evolved from conventional warfare to controlling the Palestinian population in the West Bank. As settlements have constantly expanded since Netanyahu's first term (1996), the repression and impunity has increased. The bad behavior in Mae Hong Son may well be explained by a distrustful attitude toward the "other".

Can you provide a link to that claim that Israeli military service has now evolved? Its possible some do go to the West Bank. What makes you think they all do, and why do you think these 4 in particular did?

Are you an Israeli? If not, how much time have you spent in Israel? Did you work there? Also, have you ever traveled with Israelis or done business with them? How many years did you spend backpacking around the world, staying in youth hostels, and crossing paths with different nationalities?

   Not too long ago I was walking through Chiang Mai's Red light district (well road) at night  and as usual there were some ladyboys plying their trade and there were two young western tourists in discussion with a ladyboy and I walked slowly past I heard one the the youngsters say to the ladyboy .

   "We come from Israel , you know, where Jesus comes from , can we have two for the price of one , it will be a Religious experience for you"

   They were trying to get the ladyboys survives for half price .
