The only time it was spoken of was in regard to it's nazi problem. Ah, the good old days.

The money spent went straight to US arms manufacturers.

Ukriane still owes it though

Yes, the Nazi Azov and corruption problem it had, that even MSM used to report on, which seemingly just disappeared over night

If I was the powers to be in Ukraine I wouldn't hesitate to nuke Moscow ....  wipe it off the face of the earth,  that would send a message to the murderous Putin he'd never forget.

You want to die and all your friends and family and everyone you know to die in the Russian response?

Perhaps you think all the nukes are under Putin's bed or they won't be used by someone else in that event?

IMO there are not enough nukes in the western arsenal to destroy all of Russia, so enough left to wipe out most of Euroland and part of the US.

I suspect Trump will be getting an agreement to get all the raw materials before summer. It's the only way Ukraine doesn't have to ante up the cash.

Zelensky the actor!  Time to exit stage right under your own power.  Or exit feet first otherwise.  Just saying...

  • "Zelensky is an actor who committed a common mistake of theater kids: He started to think he's the character he plays on TV," a White House official involved in the talks said. "Yes, he has been brave and stood up to Russia. But he would be six feet under if it wasn't for the millions we spent, and he needs to exit stage right with all the drama."
  • "We created a monster with Zelensky," another official involved in the negotiations said. "And these Trump-deranged Europeans who won't send troops are giving him terrible advice."
  • "In the course of a week, Zelensky rebuffed President Trump's treasury secretary, his secretary of state and his vice president, all before moving on to personally insulting President Trump in the press," another administration official said.
  • "What did Zelensky think was going to happen?"

Zelensky's comment about Trump living in a Russian misinformation bubble was so spot on.

The Western world outside Maga despise Trump and his sycophantic amoralist 'government' and their constant insults to allies such as Canada, EU, etc

Donald ' no mates' Trump  is persona non grata from now on.

This war would never had happened if NATO hadn't endlessly pushed east, (despite promising never to do so).  Additionally, simply for geographical and defence reasons, the 'west' should acknowledge that Russia must annex Crimea, so that it controls its naval entry into the Black Sea.

Give Russia Crimea, pull back NATO's eastern border, and the Russian bear will go back to sleep.

In the geo political area, US and Europe are, or maybe were, in general aligned. Russia and China are on the other side. So yes, Russia was an opponent and is much weaker now than 3 years ago.

Yes, that's why Trump said zelensky has no bargaining power.

If you will remember Russia was to all intents and purposes an ally by 2020. Didn't our Hillary even sell uranium to them? Then along comes the stupid Russia collusion hoax where the entire left falsely and without evidence blamed HRC's electoral thumping on Russia which led to years of demonization of Russia up till the Biden administration started firing long range missiles into Russia and Nordsteam go woof. Cheers lefties, nice one.

Pretty sure she bought uranium from King Putin no?

NATO didn't 'endlessly push east'.

After the Soviet empire collapsed all the eastern European countries that had been under Russian rule applied to join NATO and the EU.

They wanted the same rights as the West, national sovereignty and democratic rule

Putin realised if Ukraine followed suit, as they wished to, then his own autocratic rule could come under threat as Russians demanded similar freedoms.

The dictator is scared of losing power.

There was an agreement that the Yanks broke and the Eastward expansion started, stop denying history.

The Russian navy does not need Crimea to control its naval entry to the Black Sea. It can do that just as easily from the port of Novorosslyk.

The Russian bear will not go back to sleep. The Russian demographic is collapsing, this is the Kremlin's last chance to push westward to natural land barriers.

Putin's miscalculated invasion only succeeded in adding 1500 km of frontier with a new NATO country, Finland. The Finns have not forgotten how they were forced to cede Karelia in 1940.

Russia has an existential crisis as bad as Ukraine. Appeasing it is just kicking the can down the road.

Long live Ukraine, three heroic years of fighting a blood thirsty autocrat.

Down with American appeasers, cowards the lot.

Thank you, always refreshing to see a voice of reason in the wilderness of spectacular levels of delusion.

He fomented discord at home, advancing Putin's objective of sapping American resolve. "Donald Trump is the first president in my lifetime who does not try to unite the American people," his former Defense Secretary James Mattis said in 2020.

In my opinion that was an incredibly diplomatic understatement.

Trump is an absolutely horrific negotiator, and one can see that fully on display now. When you give away the talking points of a negotiation prior to sitting down at the table you have failed. There is a 0% chance of success once you do that, and any decent negotiator knows that. The man could not negotiate his way out of a paper bag to save his own life. The United States is now dependent upon this creep for to defend itself.

Prior to the election all of his supporters knew that he adored dictators and despots and he had a lack of affection for democratically elected leaders, but did anybody guess that it would be this bad, so soon?

The death and destruction is only beginning, give Trump another year or two and those who supported him will begin to understand the very nature of the man, and the staggering extent of his deception, malice, evil and corruption.

Trump is a clear and present danger to the security of both the United States and the Free World and he must be stopped. The Senators and Congress members of his own party and the Democratic party must stand up and defend freedom and rational thinking, against this insane goon.

According to the Daily Mail, the deal is done. Zelensky has surrendered and granted mineral rights to the US.  I'm sure he's getting a nice retirement package somewhere for his cooperation.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14423219/volodymyr-zelensky-surrenders-donald-trump-sign-mineral-deal-hours.html

Interestingly, America granting Ukraine a "security shield" would seem to indicate America is going to be withdrawing from NATO, because I don't see any other context in which Russia would accept this.

According to Lavrov, even that ruse would be unacceptable to Russia. The presence of European troops in Ukraine, with or without the NATO costume, is just another Western scam and would be tantamount to the presence of NATO inside Ukraine. An existential threat to Russia and something that's not going to happen.  So, things may get interesting before this conflict ends.

Three's a reason most of you guys cannot understand Trump.  Simply put, you have been brainwashed.  Fed the big lie for years and you believe it.  In all liklihood, you'll persist in your delusions until to die.  President Trump is your wake up call.  Deal with it.

Trump is the President of the United States, elected with a sweeping mandate. And he sees reality for what it is, not what certain delusional people would like it to be. For Trump, the reality is simple.  The war should have never started and needs to stop. Now. That's his overriding concern.  That's what will happen.  How that happens is irrelevant.

And this is where it gets interesting.  He wants to "make a deal" with Zelensky.  US ownership of valuable mineral rights in Ukraine, which ownership would provide a security guarantee for what remains of Ukraine. And from what he has said, he would have "no problem" with the presence of European troops in Ukraine.

Somewhere on here last week I outlined what I thought would be the eventual "deal."  A cessation of hostilities as the battlefield currently stands, the return of the Kursk region of Russia to Russia, no NATO troops in Russia, a recognition of the existential threat to Russia that the presence of NATO troops would present, and an immediate end to the war.  That's the reality.   Russia won.

So, how does all that square with a "deal" with Zelensky?  My guess: there will be no deal.  The war is over, Russia won.  Next time, the warmonger idiots should think again before they sell out America for the sake of their multi-million dollar bank accounts they all seem to gave accumulated  while drawing minuscule salaries.
