Pay tax in thailand for money spend here, and deduct on my national pension tax.

I just paid tax on  400,000 bht my bill was only 3500.00 nothing to cry about and that keeps immigration happy. Works out no more expensive then spending money on affidavits and income letters. You could give that money as the donation instead and end up paying only a few hundred on tax.

I pay only 90 baht at the district hospital for all my blood work and yearly medication. Also includes. FET, urine test & x-ray. My electricity has all been upgraded. New cement and paved roads. I visit my local district get everything I need enter into the district tax office I'm seen to and documents are filed within an hour even have to have conversations with tax officers and friends that used to work in the district that are now based in  pattya.  Thais also pay for private medical.

so on my receipt.... where it says VAT 7%... and there is a total next to it.

 

Iam not actually paying that 7% ?

While one has to agree with that "theory", could you share your intransigeant views on the the Thai people in high places who are going to confiscate, for their own "well being " at least half of the tax you are going to pay.

I don't know how long you've lived here but it's not the same as your home country.  There are different rules, different ways of doing things and different values.

 

Perhaps you could try to integrate with the local culture instead of railing against everything.  You appear to be angry and to not fit in here at all, and it does make me wonder why you chose to come here in the first place.

 

For all your claims, there appears to be no evidence that you have any wealth at all.  I'm sure there are many ways you could show this but I suspect the truth is that you have a big imagination and a small bank balance/income, and you hide your disappointment behind your exaggerated stories.

 

If you don't or can't abide by the rules here, your blood pressure would probably benefit if you returned to the place where you do understand the rules (and understand the consequences of non-compliance).

well wife, kids, or not, I am an American and not matter where I go/live as a tax resident, I still owe Uncle Sam.  I accept that and have for some 60+ years of working and paying taxes.  I fail to understand the anti-tax folks thoughts even to the point of failing to follow the laws of different countries.  But, my opinion and am sure YOU might not like it.

It is not one way, it is 2 way. The government ask for tax then they must provide services for tax payers equally. In the US I'm a tax payer ant I receive government support in different ways, especially free medical care.

It's not anti tax, i pay tax in UK i just don't want to pay more here for nothing

I realise that the government needs tax money to develop the coun try. But ... it is a common belief that there is a 35% Rule. The rule states that 35% of the National Budget disappears in corruption. That equals over one trillion Baht per year. If political corruption could be reduced by even only 35%, there would be more than enough money in the national coffers.

After I deduct all I am legally entitled to deduct, I am under the tax table.  If I was above the tax table I WOULD pay a income tax because of the OVERALL benefits I - the family have, living in Thailand.

 

2 prime examples:

1) We have a 2BR house, yard and etc,  in a gated community, I pay 4500bt a month rent.  In my home country, the 1BR apartment I formally lived in is now 24,000bt a month.

 

2) Electric, about the same service ( minus a dishwasher BUT adding a stand alone freezer ), AVERAGES around 1800bt a month - with a stay at home wife. My old apartment ( when single ) I never got a electric bill LESS than 5000bt a month and I was NOT at the apartment, due to working, 10+ hours a weekday - Sat & Sun off.

 

Considering the monies saved living here, paying  a reasonable income tax ( around 15 to 20% ) would almost be a godsend.
