Popular Post Social Media Posted February 26 Popular Post Posted February 26 WASHINGTON — In a striking move, President Trump on Tuesday revoked the security clearances of attorneys from the law firm Covington & Burling who provided pro bono legal services to former special counsel Jack Smith. Smith had previously prosecuted Trump in two federal criminal cases that were ultimately cut short before reaching trial. "THIS IS A GOOD ONE": President Trump signs an executive order revoking the security clearances from Jack Smith and attorneys at law firms that "weaponized government." pic.twitter.com/HpSDRP6X9Z — Fox News (@FoxNews) February 25, 2025 “This is a good one. Is everybody listening?” Trump declared from the Oval Office. “Deranged Jack Smith — we’re going to call it the deranged Jack Smith signing or bill.” Trump criticized what he called the "weaponization" of the legal system, accusing law firms of using pro bono work to obstruct government functions. “The weaponization of our system by law firms, even pro bono work they’re doing just in order to clog up government, stop government, and nobody knows about it more than me, and hopefully that’ll never happen again,” he said. At one point, Trump cut off a reporter attempting to ask about U.S. troop deployments in Europe. “Wait, I just want to savor this one, please,” he said before holding up the pen he had used to sign the order. “Who would like this pen? Why don’t you send it to Jack Smith? A deranged person.” Covington & Burling did not immediately respond to requests for comment. A disclosure from Smith’s office on January 10 revealed that he had received $140,000 in free legal services from the firm. Politico reported that at least two attorneys, Peter Koski and Lanny Breuer, had represented Smith. The memorandum signed by Trump formally revokes the clearances of “Koski and all members, partners, and employees of Covington & Burling LLP who assisted former Special Counsel Jack Smith during his time as Special Counsel, pending a review and determination of their roles and responsibilities.” Smith had successfully secured federal indictments against Trump in 2023 while the former president was campaigning for a return to the White House. However, those cases were effectively halted before going to trial after Trump’s reelection. Based on a report by NYP 2025-02-24 2 2 5 3
Popular Post thesetat Posted February 26 Popular Post Posted February 26 For anyone that understand the reasons for this action. And the case problems associated with Jack Smith. It was not his job to do what he did. He had no authorization to act on Trumps case. He managed to get the a court date set before this information was learned. Anyone that knows about court cases also knows you only need to show there is reasonable doubt to obtain a court date. Even if this means using collusion with other things to show a chance they might win in a courtroom. 2 3 3 1 7 1

Popular Post Watawattana Posted February 27 Popular Post Posted February 27 I'm all for frivolous court cases and law suits to be jumped upon, with those bringing them made to pay all costs associated with them. I'm sure Trump has a few members of staff helping him. I'm sure Trump doesn't do everything himself, and different departments are dealing with Ukraine and Jack Smith. But it is a waste of time & money nevertheless. 2 1

Correct, the war has been going on for three years now, all Biden did was support the war, by sending money and arms and eat his ice cream. People were using all sorts of underhanded, immoral, and sometimes illegal, methods to try to attack Trump and prevent him from getting a second term. Now that Trump is in office, he is using perfectly legal methods to show these people that their actions have consequences. Why do you see what people did to Trump as being OK, but Trump punishing them not OK? Where is the logic there? 1 1 1 5 1

It appears to me that what you are saying is that all the grand juries, all the juries, all the judges and all the witnesses were telling lies and only Trump was telling the truth. Nor only that but all the accompanying documents were also fake and lies. Now that is one hell of a conspiracy theory you seem to have come up with. At a stretch I could possibly believe one set were wrong, but 46 cases under different Grand Juries, juries, judges and different courts, is only for the MAGA world to believe. 1 1 1 4 2 1
