Pattaya Steps Up Efforts to Halt Railway Site Romps and Maintain Family-Friendly Image

Pattaya's railway sleeper storage area has recently gained notoriety as a clandestine meeting point for amorous couples, prompting a strong backlash from local residents. Situated near Pattaya Railway Station, this spot has become infamous for public displays of affection involving both same-sex and opposite-sex couples, much to the dismay of nearby inhabitants.

Concerned citizens are raising alarms over the potential health risks and the impact on Pattaya's reputation as a family-friendly destination. One resident stressed the need for action, stating that maintaining public decency is crucial for the community's welfare and image.

Responding to these concerns, Police Colonel Navin Sinthurat, Superintendent of Bang Lamung Police Station, joined forces with railway authorities and other local agencies to address the issue. Their inspections, conducted on February 25th, revealed the extent of the activities taking place.

In a bid to reclaim the area's respectability, railway officials announced plans to erect barbed wire fencing to deter further rendezvous. Additionally, they will install warning signs and deploy patrol officers to monitor the site, aiming to curb the risqué escapades.

The need for these measures became even more apparent following a recent incident involving a foreign couple. Just three days prior, a local man implored the pair to move their intimate activities to a hotel after spotting them on Krating Lai Beach. This indecent act, captured on video, rapidly circulated on Thai social media, drawing widespread attention.

The video showed the couple's blatant disregard for public decency on the rocky beach. Believing they were hidden from view by rocks and trees, their passionate noises betrayed them, attracting the attention of nearby residents.

An 18-year-old witness, Bew, described the event to PPTV HD, recounting how he and four friends chose to sit amidst a crowd for safety amidst the darkness of the beach. Their quiet evening was disrupted by the brazen behaviour of the pair.

Pattaya's local officials are keen to take firm action to safeguard the city's reputation and restore its wholesome image. By intensifying security measures at these hotspots, they aim to redirect those indulging in public displays of affection toward more private venues. As Pattaya continues its efforts to uphold community standards, the hope remains for a harmonious balance between the city's vibrant nightlife and its commitment to public decency, reported The Thaiger

These people are peeping toms/voyears... they watch tourists on the beach and under piers too. I see the article seems to smoothly shift the blame onto tourists too, when of course that is unlikely to be the case at the railway station. I am more concerned by the mess the roadworks  are making near there at the Railway Line Bypass Rd, and Soi SIam CC junction.

It's quite sadistic at this point. Do they get off repeating this mumbo jumbo ?

If I had a condom for every time a pattaya official said this I wouldn't need to raw dawg on family friendly soi 6 so much.

They must do everything in their power to maintain the integrity and the good standing of Pattaya. It is a city of such purity that incidents like this run the risk of creating a deterioration of the social fabric, these things cannot be allowed to happen, we must maintain absolute purity.

That would make a great doco,  BONKING ON THE BEACH and give them something to talk about.
