Evil is killing people. You lefties make very bizarre remarks.

That’s only one definition of evil and even then subject to a number of obvious caveats.

USSR helped save Europe in ww2. Ukrainians helped the Nazis.

"The war in Europe began on 23 August 1939, when the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany signed a pact that created a partnership between them in dividing up Poland and the rest of Eastern Europe. Under the terms of this pact, the German Wehrmacht moved into western Poland on 1 September 1939, and the Soviet Red Army moved en masse into eastern Poland sixteen days later.  Great Britain, which had signed a bilateral defense treaty with Poland earlier that year, declared war against Germany as required by a secret protocol to the treaty. However, the protocol, as we now know, applied only to defense against Germany, not against any other country. Similarly, France, which also had signed a bilateral defense treaty with Poland that expressly applied only to Germany, declared war against Germany hours after Britain did. But neither the British nor the French government declared war against Russia."

I was only making a point the "Russia saved Europe" only because Russia and Germany had a falling out.

Stupid question. There are degrees of freedom of speech. In Russia there's a lot less than there is in the EU. Public criticism of the Russian government is taboo.

I think it means  being carted off to a Gulag !

A deal will be done. The American President wants his money, wants his rare earths (or raw earths what he called it). He won't get it off Putin. Putin is a bit thick when he started approaching the US offering mining rights (allegedly); The Americans aren't offering cash.  If a deal with the US isn't done, then Ukraine may fall, Russia gets all the rare earths (etc), probably a ruined country, but, as the American President says, they will hold all the cards. But, why wouldn't Zelensky be on the phone now to Xi, get the Chinese in, offer them a sweet mining deal  probably far more influence on the Russians, who are nervously watching a Chinese army massing near disputed borders.. They might even offer to build the rail line to ship the ore out.

If Ukraine falls, Taiwan has 3 years left. America, as it is, won't defend it.

The whole thing was engineered. If we are talking about respect then what about the journalist who made the disrespectful comment about Zelensky's attire, which lead to a cheap suit jibe from Zelensky. That journalist? Brian Glenn, working for "Royal America'sVoice ", and currently shagging Marjorie Taylor Greene, the transexual-lookinmg Congresswoman (well, looks like a bloke in a frock). Set the scene.

The  Chinese have no need of more raw erfs -  they have heaps - literally.

Nope. No one is tossed in jail for a 'mean tweet'.

Usually those who end up going to jail for these headline sentences, have a litinay of previous offenses which go into the course of any sentencing, but that's never mentioned.

You are more than open to talk about immigration, pros and negatives, you can protest to your hearts content on the streets, you can critisize your government without fear of being locked up. What you cannot do is abuse someone because of their colour of their skin and use that, or their sexuality, anti semitism, etc to cause hate - that is the illegal matter.

Now again, tell me where the free speech is in America (when you can literally sue someone for saying something about you). And lets see the free speech in China, Russia, India, etc

I have nice coffee this morning - you should try some - or at least wake up and smell it.

The USA will want to be main players. If they walk away, then in the short term Europe can cobble together and arm Ukraine for a few more years.

If Ukraine are buying arms from France and UK, that would put America out too.

Would be the mother of all twists if China steps in to create peace. That would end American dominance.

Do have some coffee.

Zelenski has made it clear he does not want anything from the Trump Administration as has Germany. Let Ukraine continue the war with aid from Germany.

"Zelensky - what possessed you?"

He knows that Trump intends to carve up Ukraine for his mate Putin. The rump state which will be left will be run by someone put in place by Putin, as the necessary precursor to his next moves, on the three Baltic States, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.

Knowing that he was not prepared to be browbeaten by Trump or his sidekick, Vance, in what was obviously a planned and rehearsed ambush.

Ukraine was carved up long ago while Putin's mate Obama was in office.

Obama sold out Ukraine for a bit of space until after his last election.

Just saw the footage of the meeting in the Oval Office.

My God, Zelensky is an utter, arrogant fool. You do NOT go into another country and disrespect their leader like that. Trying to argue in front of the media is a great way to make your country cease to be.  Not to mention always showing up in a t-shirt like he is some kind of warrior who is just "too busy" to dress appropriately.  You are meeting the President of the United States, and begging for his help.  Show a little class.

I guess he is used to being feted and celebrated by the squishy pols who inhabit Europe. But when he visits America's House, he needs to step small.

It was bloody awful. That discussion would be better had off-media. The room was full of press and who else? I'm not sure. Trump should have set this up differently but Pres. Z should be a bit smarter if he wants significant help from the USA because that's the only way he will end up with any kind of beneficial result.

Previous invasions of this scale in Europe have usually required major wars to determine the outcome but I can't see the US (or EU) being willing to go that far. I hope that they can all at least talk about it again after this mess - the alternative is complete disaster.

Trump and make up man showed their true colours today. Both scumbags of the highest order. Would not expect any better of the orange grifter as it has the brain of an ant ,but make up man  i thought may have  been more knowledagable and calmer.

You sound really smart. You must be a high IQ critically thinking leftist schoolteacher, yes?
