Where are the bibs?

Featured Replies

I know the police is all over the place in central pattaya but how is it around darkside, is it possible to drive around the bars up there on a motorbike without getting caught by the bibs? I dont get drunk and drive but a few beers might happen.

They used to check a lot on the railway road. Driving around the bars probably ok but when heading back is the problem

Sure, although the chance is of being caught by another drunk driver in a pickup.

Been living on the darkside for 15 years, never been pulled over, or hit a roadblock in all that time. Police presence is minimal at best.

So a request from the forum for help to avoid being stopped (caught) by police officials in the course of their duties to enforce the law!

Something we keep saying on here - more enforcement!

In any event, based on all the incidents reported, ALL of Pattaya is the "Dark Side" - of Thailand

Just get a taxi. No worries and plenty of options. Why take the risk to be the first guy stopped.

If a Thai crashes into you and you have had a few to drink, the whole accident will be on you.

If the Thai dies, you will go to prison, or pay around 1 million baht for your freedom.

1 million baht pays for a lot of taxi rides.

That would depend on how much money you pay them.
