The honeymoon is over. That’s according to a pair of new polls that show President Donald Trump underwater, with a majority of people saying they disapprove of the job he’s doing as president. Previous polling showed most Americans approved of the new president’s performance at the beginning of his second term in office

At this stage, one has to wonder if Trump much cares what the voters think. He has become a self appointed "King of 'Murica" and claims, publicly, that he  doesn't need any stinking votes. He just wants to retain power, just like Vlad, his very special friend.

However, the trend doesn't show an improvement. quite the opposite. There's still a positive gap on average, but it's decreasing.

These polls are all meaningless.  Half the respondents just like giving false answers to mess with the pollsters.

I don’t think I’ve seen a single positive story about President Trump on this forum. Quite obvious this is a hard left leaning site. I voted for President Trump, very happy with my vote for him and his performance so far.

The British pressured the Germans make some announcement of friendship with Britain in order to strengthen Chamberlains position in Parliament. Instead, the Germans denounced him. The British and French were then rapidly rearming, expected to be complete by 1942. Hitler took that as a cue to invade Poland, and unify lost parts of Germany

 

NATO studies have shown that there is only a narrow window to defend the Baltic states,. There is only a 24-36 hour window to reinforce the garrisons there, before its all over. Russia doesn't need a dominating  force to take those countries. If they fall, NATO is not in a  position to eject Russia. Its about defending  Polish  and now, Finnish territory.

 

Some say there comparisons to Munich are overplayed. Chamberlain was a quiet man held in contempt by Hitler. Chamberlain thought he was good friends with Hitler, and could take him at his word. he wrote letters to his sister remarking that he believed Hitler, and felt Hitler trusted him The man was a fool.

 

The American President is a bombastic personality. I suspect Putin despises him. Putin lives a relatively low key, frugal lifestyle, and rejects the ostentatious displays of wealth, even though his actual wealth is very very large. Te American President will be seen as crass, gauche, but also easily impressionable.

According to polls conducted by Gallup, 47 has the worst Approval and worst Disapproval Rating of any POTUS, after a few weeks in office, in 80 years. Oh, and the second worse POTUS in terms of both Approval and Disapproval was.....45.

 

At least he's consistent.

 

He is the only POTUS in 80 years with an Approval Rating below 50%, and the only one with a Disapproval Rating above 50%.
