Kbank transfer limit of 50,000 Baht per day from 7th March

Featured Replies

I just logged on to Kbank on a PC web browser. There was a message (below) that from 7th March 2025, the maximum transfer is 50,000 Baht per day. Does anyone know if this is just for web browser initiated transfers or does the phone app have the same restriction? Logged in on phone app but see no similar message.

Could it be that transfers over 50k need a face scan?  The app can do that, K-biz not.

I think that the smartphone app is the K-Plus platform . I'm not expecting any changes in the App (K-Plus)

Just had a quick look on the app and can't see any references to K-Biz

Does Kasikorn Bank even do face scans for foreigners already? Last time I checked, their KPLUS app said it's only supported for Thais. Unlike Bangkok Bank, where I had my face scanned to increase the limit already.

Looking at my app settingd I've set it to allow 500k Baht per day in transfers - I paid for an Elite visa extension with this app once.

But then it mentions something about a 'Face Per Transaction' limit which is 50,000 Baht - I've never had to use that before but I think it was introduced after I did the visa renewal payment. To send the 500k Baht it just wanted the pin and worked immediately.

It also has a quick pay limit which is set to 0 - I don't even know what they is

I think the issue is K-Biz v KPlus.  They are not the same animal.

I think quick pay lets you QR code pay without entering your password.

Yup, got a email with 50k in the title but the message was in Thai.

Oh well....back to the bank to try to discover what is going on.

Funny that banks want us to stop using cash but make it more difficult to use teknolidgly (SIC).🙃🙃

K-Biz - "foreigners" cannot use it.

K-Plus - of course, but this thread is about K-Biz

For those that are confused, I am referring to the K-Biz app as distinct from K-Plus.  I have both and cannot access through K-Biz.....

I just got the email from them today, looks like it took them a while to send them out.

Not a big deal for me, I almost never use their website for banking nowadays, as their KPLUS app is more convenient for me.

Unlike other banks, K-Bank does not let foreigners have face scan verification.

The 50 k limit is for the website banking only (K-BIZ). You can set your own limits on the Mobile app (K-PLUS)

Wrong, works very perfectly for me.

K Bank in Bangkok is very efficient and very polite staff who can definately help out a foreigner customer.

But that branch in a certain large shopping center in Hua Hin is a real mess,  where it's made more then obvious, that they really dislike foreigners and love to go the extra mile and splurt out the usual "solly-no-can-do"...or the "solly, no-have"....

The app? I have K biz and can use it on my laptop, tablet and phone via a browser but when I tried with the actual app I got the foreigner cannot message.

This starts to get more annoying by the month almost ... are there banks not requiring such annoyances with mandatory biometrics?
