Hopefully he kept a list of the names and amounts he forwarded all the brown envelopes to over his illustrious career. Maybe someone will be tasked with sending it to the news agencies after his death.

He met Epstein's method of escaping from prison.

If you implying Epstein so called death might be about as real as Kennith Lays, (who both died at very very convenient times) you could be right.....Same for old Joe maybe.

I would have much prefered he spent a long pointless life in gaol instead of taking the easy surrender but it figures.

Bullies are ALLways cowards - and this munt was about as 100% pure bully as they come.

Suicide. - for that reason.

He didn't have the stomach to face life without his uniform and a gun. Pathetic.

This is basically why Khun Thaksin was so desperate to avoid actually spending any time in prison, he really didn't want some large, tattooed, muscle-bound inmates to commit suicide on him. lol

With your vast experience in all things and unlimited knowledge, I would have thought you were well versed in the behind story of Ferrari Joe's past and the reason as to why many are suspect of his suicide.

It doesn't excuse his stupidity in what happened, but certainly shuts him up allowing many people to breath a bit easier now.

I doubt that somehow in this case.

If he was gonna shop anyone he'd have done so a while back - and presumably in return for privileges, protection and shorter sentence (potential King's pardon) etc.

He can't have been very popular and I can imagine the thought of the rest of his life inside would make anyone as comparatively young as that consider a rope.

Not if you see the person who is committing your suicide

That was my first thought.  A'la Epstein.

Life imprisonment with good behavior

could be , possibly , might be , commuted to 10 years, especially if the convicted is rich. I’m thinking the CcTv was off .

I met this dude at Nakhon Sawan police station once he’d just arrived and saw me looking for someone to speak too, had a short conversation with him, he was very friendly & suggested one of his subordinates offer me a cup of tea.

How easily you can be fooled into thinking someone is genuinely a good Cop, but really a murderous & sinister human being

And I always thought he might have bought his way out of the back door and get on a flight out of Thailand.

Still a possibility ...

Why? Totally makes sense, if you ask me. He had everything, luxury cars, huge mansion, lavish lifestyle and all that was left now was a tiny cell and the knowledge that this will be it for the rest of his life, which could’ve easily been another 40+ years…

Not everyone is built for prison, especially not a life sentence…

I say 60/40 suicide/murder.

His crime was obvious, even captured on film IIRC, and shaking-down drug dealers isn't the sort of crime that threatened the higher-ups, so there doesn't seem any real need to "shut him up forever".  And, why wait 3-years  when he could have easily been shivved in the showers by someone long before.

Besides, there exists CCTV video of him alone in his cell when this happened.

However, as he was accustomed to a life of luxury before his imprisonment, his depression may have built up to the point where he literally couldn't take it anymore and a knotted cord seemed a way out.
