If anybody questioned Trump's sanity prior to the election, I think the last six weeks have made it abundantly clear that the man is completely unhinged, has horrific policy, is being poorly advised,

  • Yes and it's only going to get worse too as you said. Trump has paused the tariffs on Canada for another month, but Canada has not paused any of their reciprocal tariffs on the US.   Meanwhile,

  • Thank you for pointing that out Susan, I mean BigNok, I mean Harris the stalker, oh, never mind.

To repeat, what is wrong with a 1.5% tax on revenue? Or, tell me what is right with the current system, apart from employing armies of lawyers and tax accountants?

This is a stupid idea.   And your claim that a 1.5% tax on revenue will end government debt is laughable.

Revenue is simply income before expenses and deductions.

Is possible to have $millions in "revenue", yet make no money.

This is something expats in Thailand will have to watch out for if Thailand moves to global taxation.

In the US, capital losses may offset capital gains.  This is not the case in Thailand.

US expat can sell a stock for $1million, making $100K, then sell another stock for $500K, losing $100K.  gain = loss, no tax due to the IRS.

Under global taxation, the $100K gain is taxed as ordinary income, whereas the loss is not entered into the PIT calculations.

You persist with thinking in terms of current taxation methods. End of discussion.

Actually this is great news. Many of the jobs created under left wing sleepy Joe were government jobs that no relevance to any productivity or help to the citizens. Now that DOGE is discovering the billions of dollars wasted by the Democrats on left wing projects, many of these projects are being canceled along with the employees. Much of the huge increase in inflation under old sleepy Joe was due to government waste under Biden. Now that Trump is cleaning up the mess that Biden created, many of these jobs will be eliminated and inflation will come down. This is a huge win for the American tax payers.

It seems, Americans are even more thin-skinned than I thought. How pathetic.

Some states do this in the USA.  It's called a gross receipts tax.

  • Recent studies by Ufier (2014) and Adhikari (2015) link the abandonment of gross receipts taxes with increased production efficiency and growth in GDP per capita.

Strange, you din't mention the elephant in the outhouse......

Government accounted for the bulk of layoffs, with Challenger tracking 62,242 announced job cuts by the federal government from 17 different agencies. The government has laid off about 62,530 workers in the first two months of the year, a whopping 41,311% increase compared to the same period in 2024.

Keep up the good work!

Who's a good Doge!!!!!

Every less government drone is a win for the taxpayer.

Seems we have another anti Trump poster resurrected from banned purgatory whining about Trump.

Yawn.

Thanks for pointing out the real apocalypse that is descending on humanity while the people that should be "doing something to prepare for it" are wasting time on stupid wars and illegal immigration etc.

As usual, nothing will be done till it's too late.

Perhaps it's time for WW3 to provide employment opportunities.

Yup, but they don't want to discuss that. They are fans of Ayn Rand and think the novel Atlas Shrugged is being played out now in real time and the conclusion is being delivered by Trump and his clowns.

As opposed to Harris and her cartoon advisors?

It's a recession when your neighbor loses his job; it's a depression when you lose your own.

Definitely difficult to counter any of your observations!  This is exactly as I felt PRIOR to the election, not knowing who would win but realizing that both are total idiots IMHO and are not even close to being qualified to sit in the presidency.  Surprising a tad is how weak the Congress has been in allowing the unqualified cabinet members to take over the advisers' role since the presient in normal times cannot keep up with all going on not only in the US but in the whole world.  This is really a scary situation for the world.  Putin and his AXIS buddies must be popping the champagne bottles every couple of hours as Trump doesn't seem to be slowing down any.

Then he just signs away, nodding like he actually read a word of it.
