Generally I think people that left their home country are smarter than the average or have ADHD.

IMO people who emigrate are more adaptable to changing circumstances.

I never said that... The comment was legit and not dumb really. The Thais are smart in things that matter to them at the time.. Perhaps smarter than alot of foreigners. But as for intelligence, I think they just do not care to learn or know anything that is not inside their circle of what they do daily. Even their social media habits do not utilize anything for learning more.

Whilst I have spent some time loitering outside of Sripatum University waiting for a friend to let out in the afternoons..

I have never been inside so will have to take your word  with the teachers practices.

Smarter as to book smart and general world knowledge, unless they are Uni grad and their specialized fields.   TBH, most of that knowledge really isn't useful in life.

 

Almost as smart as Thais, as could live off the land, if the world went to sh!t.  Not nearly as good as them, but I could survive.

 

Guessing most expats would starve without Thais in their lives, if had to survive in the wild, or not so wild, on their own.
